Cons:

Categories

Cleanliness
7.2
Mixed comments: one small cleanliness problem was quickly resolved, but several reviews mention that housekeeping could be improved and that some equipment felt dated.
Service
9
Mostly positive staff interactions (personnel agréable, very friendly at breakfast) though a few guests found reception aloof and some complaints were not satisfactorily handled.
Location
10
Consistently praised: central position in the village, beautiful setting and close to local sights — repeatedly described as an exceptional location.
Room Quality
6.4
Multiple reports of rooms being too hot (no AC/ventilation), small or cramped layouts and some outdated bathrooms; comfort uneven across units (annexes/upper floors worse).
Amenities
6.6
Pool is appreciated but small; spa was a common disappointment with shortages (towels, access) and lack of ventilation/AC affecting perceived amenity quality.
Value for Money
5.8
Several guests explicitly called the price too high for the level of service and facilities received; perceived poor value in multiple reviews.
Food and Beverage
9
Strong points: restaurant described as incredible/gastronomic and breakfasts often praised, though a few noted issues with temperatures of juices/dairy.
Overall Experience
7.6
Charming, picturesque hotel with excellent location and dining, but repeated problems with heat/no AC, spa shortcomings and value concerns make the overall stay mixed.

Unbelievably poor
Pros:

The restaurant was OK. I expected more for a Michelin star restaurant. The restaurant staff were excellent.

Cons:

We booked a privilege twin room - £200+ for the night plus breakfast. The room and bathroom were very dated. This is not a cheap hotel. Unbelievably poor bedroom, chipped furniture and ripped curtains poorly hung. Looks like it was furniture sourced from a flea market. The decoration and bathroom can be described at best as time warped. Felt more like a council supported care home than a hotel. The toilet bowl was brown, the seat did not fit the bowl - gross. No bottled water, just tap water. No way to get room service. The pluming was antiquated - almost needed a spanner to turn the hot water tap on, the images show the grouting - appalling. We could not bring ourselves to use the bath. Where was the shower - non existent. Breakfast was reasonable. Would we stay there again? NO WAY. What a costly disappointment.

Pros:

Pros:

Locatie midden in het dorpscentrum. Zeer sfeervol oud gebouw.
