I booked this hotel expecting the standards of a 4-star property, including a functioning air-conditioning system. Unfortunately, the AC was not working due to an electrical issue, and with temperatures around 36°C, the room became unbearably hot. As a result, I was unable to sleep.

I reported the problem to reception and was told it was a technical fault. I understand that such issues can happen. However, since the key feature I paid for was unavailable, I requested a refund. I was advised to submit the request through Booking.com and was assured both at reception and again during check-out that I would receive a full refund.

After returning home, I submitted the request and received confirmation that it had been approved. To my surprise, the refund amount was only £1.

This is not really about the money; it is about integrity. I paid for an air-conditioned room and did not receive the service advertised or paid for. Given that the hotel acknowledged the fault and assured me that I would be reimbursed, I believe a full refund is justified. I would also expect Booking.com to help ensure this matter is resolved fairly. Stay away from this hotel to avoid this kind of situation.

Hace dos meses reservé una habitación con aire acondicionado, era 24/05/2026 ola de calor en Europa y hacía 30 grados a las 21.00 h .. no funcionaba el aire y me dicen que hasta el lunes no lo arreglaban. Les solicité que me devolvieran el dinero cobrado que me iba a otro hotel. Me dijeron que no lo podían hacer, rellene una queja y me dieron una habitación con ventana al exterior. No dormimos!

We stayed in the balcony room expecting a luxurious experience, but the space felt extremely cramped. The room itself was very small, the bath was tiny, and even sitting on the toilet felt uncomfortable due to the lack of space.

The WiFi and air conditioning did not work at all during our stay.

Breakfast was also below expectations, especially considering the reputation of French bakeries and pastries.
