Our favourite chateaux of the holiday. Highly recommended

Beautiful setting, rooms, gardens and facilities
Pros:

Beautiful setting, very convenient for a multi day exploration of the lower Loire Valley. Our room was spacious and beautiful, the gardens are enormous and well maintained.

Wunderschön renoviertes Château Hotel mit Geschichte; sehr gepflegt, Park - wie auch das Château selbst. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet und renoviert. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, ausgezeichnete Gastronomie (2 Restaurants) - wir reisten mit 2 Hunden die sehr willkommen waren. Alles très chic und stilvoll.

Cons:

The pool only opens at 9am and breakfast finishes at 10am so it doesn’t allow for a long early swim!

We absolutely loved this château and our stay overall, and we will definitely be coming back.

One of the biggest highlights was the beautiful grounds and the incredible sense of privacy and tranquility. The atmosphere is peaceful and encourages you to slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings. The estate is huge, with plenty of space for long walks. It would have been even better if the hotel offered bicycles for guests.

The hotel has an elevator, so carrying luggage wasn't an issue. There's also an excellent restaurant on-site, so there's really no need to look for other dining options.

Our room was fantastic, especially because it had almost direct access to the Italian terrace. We ended up spending most of our time there. The hotel also has a swimming pool

Overall, this was an unforgettable stay, and we will 100% be returning. We were genuinely impressed by every part of the experience.

Cons:

The only thing we didn't like was that there were no champagne glasses in the room. When we asked at reception if we could borrow a pair, they refused, which we found quite surprising. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant twice and weren't planning to take the glasses elsewhere—we simply didn't want to rely on ordering drinks exclusively from the restaurant or bar

Pros:

The grounds were lovely.

Cons:

The staff were lovely but there wasn't enough of them to give good service. Getting a drink took over 30 minutes. No food available outside breakfast, dinner - we were offered a bread roll not even any bar snacks.
