Les Terrasses de Saumur Hotel & Spa

Très bel établissement, superbe vue, litterie confortable

Apparently this was the cheapest possible room of the hotel, in a separate building apartment. The room was clean except the bathroom would need more scrubbing (there's visible rust stains and calc in the shower) and someone has left a black string on the mat - dont know why or where from. This was just a detail though.

The worst thing was that the whole time, anyone could've have come to the door and see inside the apartment. Actually, that was possible from the walkway already, if I've left lights on. The curtains were blocking nothing and anyone could've seen inside - that left quite worrying feeling. :(

The restaurant in the premises was excellent!

12 of us stayed here on a cycling holiday. Pre-booked by the company (Le Velo Voyager) the staff were incredibly helpful and the food was excellent.

Lilly (I think) on reception went out of her way to accommodate our pigeon French and the restaurant staff were brilliant with our gluten free friend.

It was a long end of day cycle up the hill out of Saumur to get to the hotel but, even with tired legs, it was well worth the effort.

Very friendly service from all the staff. The room was clean and comfortable with a super king bed and TV. The toilet and shower room were separate and very tight for space but clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. The evening meal was delicious, looking out over Saumur and the Chateau. Breakfast was self service which a choice of pastries, cereals and a small cooked offering. The hotel is in a quiet location on a hill with a 10 minute drive to Saumur town. We were very happy with the hotel and it is great value for money. Staff were all lovely, relaxed and helpful.

We loved our stay in this hotel, the staff and location were all amazing and the food was limited in choice for the evening, (if you didnt like seafood) but the quality & presentation of it were amazing. Creme Brulee in itself is worth a stay.

Location wise, Its up a bit of a hill which is a challenge and can see it being for guests or are not used to walking, but its close to the Wine Houses and only a 7 min drive to Saumur.

we felt at home in the quirky decorating with music and movie theme but this only added to the charm of the place. Areas are a little tired, but didnt stop any enjoyment of our stay. We didnt use the pool, gym or hot-tub. We did use our balcony which was amazing in the mornings and evenings looking over Saumur.

If you are in the area and looking for a comfy bed, aircon room, plenty of parking, good food and friendly staff, then stay here!!

Tres belle endroit. On domine Saumur ainsi que son chateau. Nous etions dans un appartement, c'etait silencieux. Piscine pour se rafraîchir.

The hotel description does not mention that the hot tub and sauna are only available for an extra fee. The beds were not comfortable, and the air condition unit was not sufficient for the room so it remained hot. The pool was small and very crowded, and the wood around the pool was rotten in spots. The view from the area was beautiful, and the service and drinks in the bar were good. Reception was friendly once I found her (no one was available upon arrival for about 10-15 minutes).

Très bien sauf le bruit des voisins jusqu’à 2h du matin dans le studio à côté.
Mais l hôtel n y est pour rien sauf peux être mettre en place une personne de la sécurité pour sensibiliser les gens qui ne respectent rien…

Oberhalb des Loire Tal gelegen bietet sich ein fantastischer Ausblick. Sehr gutes Essen und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Die Zimmer in kleinen Häusern sind zweckmäßig und gut, auch ein Pool ist vorhanden. Ab und zu Live-Musik.

Everything was wonderful. I stayed there 5 days and tried everything, le petit déjeuner delicious, le dîner incredible ! Only thing I didn’t know is that I had to pay extra to enjoy the jacuzzi (why isn’t it included ?). I needed it to warm up bc coming from Miami, the drop in temperature was brutal :). But it’s ok I still loved it ! Thank you !

Pour le reste, besoin d'un rafraîchissement, l'espace détente ne vaut absolument pas le prix : manque de propreté, petit et si vous souhaitez profiter du bain nordique vous pas devant le restaurant et les gens en terrasse. Pensez à prendre des claquettes car ce n'est pas fourni et vous devez aller à l'extérieur.

Petit bémol pour un manque de communication entre le personnel de l'accueil.
Le repas que nous avons pris au restaurant était très bon avec un service irréprochable.

Restaurant excellent dommage que la chambre soit bruyante pas de vue directe sur saumur mais vue toit avec vis à vis et au lieu d’un grand lit 2 lits collés sinon tout était très bien

Another stay at this lovely quirky hotel. Food amazing as usual. The staff are always friendly & really helpful. I booked what I thought was a superior room with a view of the chateau. I found out that we had booked a triple room ( room 28, lovely room but no view) - our fault not theirs! The staff went out of their way to try & get us a superior room, but they were fully booked. We decided to stay on as I wanted to see the music act later in the week - if you like rock & blues & you get the chance you must go - amazing!!! We love this hotel & highly recommend it.

This is the second time we have stayed and it was just as remembered. It is a bit quirky but our room perfect for us and the dog plus being immaculately clean. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We will be back.

Superbe endroit , cuisine gastronomique géniale et personnel au top

Séjour agréable bien que troublé par une panne de batterie.Le personnel s'est mis en "quatre"pour nous aider.Un grand merci.
