The warmest welcome ever!
Pros:

I have had an amazing stay of 2 nights in a paradise of peace and quietness, service and hospitality, friendliness and relaxation. Everything starting from welcome at the train station and up to the last minutes in the hotel were amazing, staff friendly, food gorgeous, SPA and therms relaxing, room huge and with best views on the mountains, atmosphere pleasant and nice.
It was a short but very memorable and pleasant stay thanks to two wonderful persons working for this property. They are Marina Oshchepkova representing Medical center of the resort (she took so great care of me) and Gian Andrea Guidon - Director of Sales. Both are highly professional and only thanks to them I can call my stay perfect.
From the very bottom of my heart I am saying THANK YOU! If every property had such people in the team - this world would have been perfect.
Guys, you are the best !

We recommend this hotel with caveats
Pros:

We stayed four nights at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, (Bernhard-Simon-Strasse 20, 7210 Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, +41 81 303 30 30). It was a wonderful resort; we had chosen it because of the thermal baths. It did most things right, and it was a shame that there were annoyances.

Selina in reservations had worked with Audre to provide us with a room large enough for us at a price we were willing to pay. With her arrangements, we paid for a Deluxe Room, and we were upgraded to a Grand Deluxe Room based on availability (our price per night with breakfast and parking was US$1004). The room was decorated in an idiosyncratic way with a wooden canopy over the bed and globe lights hanging from it (that provided very little actual light).

The Grand Deluxe Room was 55 square meters and comfortable (except for the climate control, which we could never get to the correct temperature for us). We had a view of the snow-covered hill behind the hotel, and it was very quiet. We did not use our balcony--it was too cold out. We did use the hotel's gym, and it was adequate. We thought that the Mobility and Stretching Class with Jürgen was great.

The resort had two sets of thermal baths, one set for the public and another set for hotel guests only. Because one of the public baths was a hot tub at 39° C, we went there on our first day. It was a Saturday, and it was really crowded. With limited seating, we were lucky to be able to sit. While the temperature was good, it wasn't a pleasant experience. Before we left the public area, we went to the outdoor pool, which was 36° C. It had a lovely (snow-covered) mountain view and was hot enough after the 39° C tub.

We liked the private pool and Jacuzzi area much better, even at 36.5° C. The bubbles in the Jacuzzi turned on automatically from time to time, and they were pleasant and fun to anticipate. We even talked to other guests in the Jacuzzi.

The nearby pool was set at a temperature that was not inviting for us. There was a relaxation area, and we even had naps lying on the chaise lounges one day. That area had a view of a snow-covered outdoor courtyard.

We ate at the hotel restaurants each night. They were all very expensive, and it was great that the package Selina provided us included a 100 Swiss Franc credit against the cost of meals. The Thai restaurant, Namum, was the best. The 1-Michelin-starred restaurant, Verve by Sven, was by far the worst. Olives d'Or for the extensive breakfast buffet was excellent (and for dinner, it was okay Italian). At breakfast, dishes are made to order, too. We enjoyed having something different each morning.

Our last dinner was at Zollstube. To get there, we were told we had to walk outside and then 10 meters (unlike all of the other restaurants at the hotel). Well, that was awful in our bedroom slippers, without our coats (we didn't want to go back to our room and change. Why doesn't the hotel build a heated, covered walkway for the winter? The hotel otherwise thinks of everything for its guests.)

Zollstube annoyed us by bringing us water without telling us that it was fancy, expensive water. During our stay, we had been drinking the free, celebrated thermal water (with all of its mineral benefits). All of a sudden, at Zollstube, we are confronted with a server who didn't ask and said we would have to pay for the water he brought. Dimitri told him in no uncertain terms that we would not pay for the water and told him to bring us the complimentary thermal water. That worked, but it annoyed us.

Our room was personalized for us to our liking; a second desk was brought so both of us could sit at our laptops. The room was very dark, and a standing lamp was brought, but it only helped a little bit. The room had a sofa and a coffee table too. The TV was movable so we could easily watch it from the sofa. The bathroom had two sinks, and it was easy for the two of us to use them at the same time.

The hotel had a lobby bar with a fireplace and music that was lovely. While we didn't get to talk to any other guests, it was pleasant to sit there before and after dinner. Dimitri liked fixing the fire to make it roar. With our complimentary drink vouchers, we had nonalcoholic pina coladas that were very good.

The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz got most things right, and we would recommend it. There were two poorly-trained people who interfered with our enjoyment--one in Zollstube who wanted to charge us for water. The second one was the concierge who wanted to charge us for the newspapers delivered to our door over 4 days, which we had not asked for (they were exorbitantly expensive, too). When we said we weren't paying for them, the concierge wanted them back. Fortunately, Audre had them in pristine condition to return to him.
Our four days were enjoyable in spite of those employees.

Great place to unwind and relax
Pros:

Large beautiful resort with probably the most impressive thermal bath I have ever seen. We loved the outside pool in the public area of the bath., where we experienced the sun rise into the cold winter sky. Service at the resort is great. Despite its size it never feels impersonal. We ate at Memories, the in-house 3 Michelin starred restaurant, and even though we are more traditionalists when it come to haute cuisine, we loved every bite there. Nice to have a sundowner at the fire place in the lobby or chat with the lovely staff at the Italian restaurant. The hotel allows pets so you also have the chance to meet lots of dogs (which I love). Overall we enjoyed staying here a lot.

A Stay Filled with Warmth, Wellness and Genuine Swiss Hospitality
Pros:

Our stay at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz was an experience to remember — not only for its world-class facilities but for the warmth and professionalism that define true Swiss hospitality. From the moment of arrival, every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, a perfect balance of elegance and ease

As someone who loves food, the resort’s culinary scene was a true highlight. Each restaurant offered something distinct — from beautifully presented tasting menus to relaxed yet refined lunches by the terrace. Every dish felt intentional, crafted with passion and precision. The balance between local ingredients and creative flair was just right at Michelin Starred Verve and Memories. Breakfast at Olive’dor was delightful with the beautiful and calm autumn view. Make sure you seat by the window to enjoy this view with your breakfast.

Between meals, we spent time daily at the beautiful private thermal pool and the adjoining Tamina Therme, where the warm mineral water from the Tamina Gorge provided the perfect mix of relaxation and rejuvenation. The serene atmosphere made it easy to unwind completely — it’s truly a unique place to reset both body and mind.

But what stayed with us most was the warmth of the people behind it all. The staff didn’t just provide service; they created connection. Whether it was a friendly chat at breakfast, a thoughtful recommendation for dinner, or a small kindness during our stay — it all made the experience feel deeply personal.

Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is more than a luxurious getaway; it’s a place that nourishes you inside and out. We left feeling recharged, inspired, and already looking forward to returning.

Relaxing stay
Pros:

The hotel is in a stunning location and has everything you need and beyond. The room I had was spacious yet cozy with a nice little balcony overlooking the Alps and an outdoor swimming pool. Everything in the hotel is fresh with attention to detail. There's a choice of restaurants for breakfast, one is a buffet concept and the other is a la carte concept.

The hotel is a destination if you want to pamper yourself. You can access two different spas or therme - one that is a bit smaller and less busy that belongs to the hotel guests only and the other is the public one which in fact has more variety of swimming pools with jets, saunas, etc. You can enter both on complimentary basis. Also the public one has longer working hours.

I definitely would like to come back to stay at the hotel again to explore the neighbouring areas in more detail as the area of its location is so beautiful and there's a lot to see around.

Can't wait to return!
Pros:

Amazing experience! Such a lovely hotel with a jaw dropping setting. We drove in from Prague. Very easy to navigate and the town is beautiful.

We ate a the Michelin Star restaurants. Memories was amazing but the IGNIV was odd and the food was not particularly tasty.
We enjoyed our time at both the Public waters and the Private waters. Our massage was fine. The spa front desk staff were very helpful.

The room was nice with a great view and nice balcony. The golf club looked amazing and lunch there was the best!

The relaxation I needed
Pros:

I stayed a couple of nights at the hotel to relax after a busy time at work & in life and the hotel was everything I hoped for. The room had the most spectacular views of surrounding mountains & the town. It was extremely comfortable. The private thermes was very relaxing. You can also go to the public thermes as part of the price. I really liked the outside pool but I found the private Thermes more relaxing & spent most time there. I also booked a facial & the facialist was amazing (I forgot her name but she’s Italian). I did room service for dinner & it was always timely & fresh. I even asked for some items not on the menu but at the restaurants & they gladly provided it. The housekeeping staff were so lovely. Overall a really great experience & I’d definitely go back.

Great Resort and Excellent Staff. Everyone should go here
Pros:

We came the last 3 days of September. By far one of the best hotel/resorts I have stayed at in the world. The hotel is 5 star in every aspect of a hotel you would want. Check in with Josephine was amazing as we had flown in from Barcelona and were tired and she was so kind and pleasant. She did not hesitate to give us a full tour of the resort and take us to our room. She was a delight as my wife was so excited for this trip and Josephine took time out to make it special for her. Our meals each day were fabulous. The breakfast buffet was absolutely perfect. Great European breakfast in a beautiful setting. The Michelin restaurants are a must do. The spa and pools are fabulous and so relaxing. The room and view were beautiful. The staff is top notch and shows in their standards they up hold. The walk to the tamina gorge (Taminaschlucht) may be the most beautiful hike I have ever been on. A must do !! Finally we checked out at 6am for our flight to London. We were escorted to the airport by Antonio who was very thoughtful in helping my wife with her bags all the way to the train platform. Without a thought he insisted on helping us get our tickets and to the platform. Just like Josephine started our stay off with a fabulous beginning, Antonio finished it with an amazing care. Thank you to everyone at the Grand Bad Ragaz as we will be back next year 2026!! Danke sehr !!!

A Breathtaking Escape Where Elegance Meets Genuine Hospitality
Pros:

Our stay at Bad Ragaz Grand Resort was nothing short of extraordinary. What makes it so special to us is the rare balance it strikes - a perfect blend of understated elegance, flawless service, and genuine warmth that immediately makes you feel at home.
Every detail, from the beautifully designed spaces to the impeccable care of the staff, reflects a quiet perfection without ever feeling pretentious. There is a sense of refinement in everything, yet the atmosphere remains inviting and relaxed, as though you're staying with friends who happen to have the most exquisite taste.

For us, it is not just a resort; it's an experience that lingers. We left with our heart full, already dreaming of returning to this haven where luxury feels effortless and hospitality feels like family.

Such a great place
Pros:

I had a great time here. This is a really 5-star experience. The decor, architecture, gardens, art is beautiful. The breakfast at the Verve restaurant was perfect. All I expected from a top experience, as blueberries, a la carte dishes, even tailor made for myself, the espresso: the best I ever had in a hotel. The decor of this restaurant is outstanding. The swimming pool and sauna are just great. Super complete (and new) gym. Great golf course. The room is huge, like 55m2 with great views. The service in general great. I loved to be received in an S-Class at the train station, that was special.

Among the very best
Pros:

Totally loved the hotel. Had stayed here before but this time we were in the Spa Suites and they were exceptional, a class above everything else. Suites were wonderful, impeccably clean and very spacious and state of the art. One had even a private sauna!! The Spa Suites Tower is very private and very quite, makes you feel special. All staff members - reception staff, bellmen, housekeeping, concierge, valet, restaurant team - were great and contributed greatly to our enjoyment of our stay. Tried both restaurant options for breakfast and both were great but our preference goes to Verve by Sven. As for dinner you have several restaurants to choose from. We stayed only two nights and prefered visiting the area attractions over enjoying the spa and thermal baths which I hear are great expecially after renovations (will try next time..). Will definitely come back again since I believe this is one of the best hotel I ever stayed at. Thank you for the great experience you provided me and my family.

A disappointing trip this time
Pros:

My wife and I stayed for our third visit to this hotel on the 23rd and 24th of May - we enjoyed our previous two visits immensely. The reason for this poor review is as follows.
When my wife was paying our bill on departure, she noticed that a charge of 432 CHF had been added to our room's account for use of the hotel's driving range. My wife pointed out that neither of us plays golf and had not used this facility. The disputed amount was deducted from our account, and my wife paid the bill. Or, so she thought.
On returning home, we checked our Amex card account only to find out that we had been billed twice for our two night stay. How this occurred I haven't a clue as my wife only entered her pin number once when settling our account. My wife contacted the hotel immediately to point out this error. However, the response from the hotel was not as we would have expected. It was verging on treating the error with disbelief. We emailed the hotel with copies of our paid room account and the duplicate payment on our Amex statement as was requested during my wife's telephone call. This did not elicit the response I would have expected from the hotel management. Despite contacting them twice ( the first email attachments would not open, but the hotel did not inform us of this problem ) therefore we had to get back in touch six days later to be told to re-send the attachments in a different format, which we duly did.
I can only commend the Amex team for their excellent response to this issue. Reporting the disputed payments on live chat took all of three minutes, and it was done and dusted. The payment was suspended from our account pending Amex contacting the hotel. The credit has now been posted to our account.
I accept that mistakes can occur, but this has tarnished our view of the hotel.

Bad Ragaz resort is a Gem!
Pros:

The resort is set among the pine trees and mountains. The views are stunning. Check in was friendly and pleasant. A staff member showed us to our room and gave us a tour. The room was wonderful with great views of the alps. Everyday fresh fruit and nightly turn down service in the room. First class. The restaurants and the food, amazing. The Roman style pool out of this world . Spa and fitness top notch. I highly recommend this resort. My wife and I were so impressed and we had such a relaxing stay that we’re going back in January 2026 for a week. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Unbelievable if you get the opportunity do it.
Pros:

From the moment we pulled up to the moment we left (sadly) the whole experience was on a totally different level. We went as a big birthday trip for myself and my son, there was 8 of us altogether. All of our rooms were absolutely beautiful my son had a family room for himself his wife and their 3 children, and we had 2 deluxe rooms for the remaining 3 of us. There was fresh fruit and soft drinks, immaculate every where and beautifully appointed but best of all views like we were in a movie. Breakfast was fabulous every morning the staff were so good with the children as well which was nice to see. We ate at Olives and Verve while we were there and all of our food was delicious my son and his wife had a meal at Sven which they said was unbelievable a nice treat.
All of the pools are beautiful my personal favourite was the adults only pool and the relaxation room beautiful place to chill. You feel your blood pressure lower and your whole mood lighten the whole time you are there, it was planned to be a one off for all of us my son and family have been 5 times before but I honestly feel I have to return and I can’t wait.
