Old fashioned, compact room and as a result not a comfortable night's sleep for a couple.
Pros:

The hotel is well established and very well located for the main railway station. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Cons:

It is a little old fashioned and like Swiss hotels of the era the room was compact and the bed was very small for 2 people. This is a bit of a shock when coming from Asia and a double room means a king size bed where 2 people can sleep together comfortably! If we had known it would have been better to book a twin for a better night's sleep. I actually think the hotel is due a complete renovation to be competitive in the luxury segment of the market.

チェックイン時間前でしたが気持ちよくチェックインできました。チェックイン時暖かいおしぼりとウエルカムドリンクはとても良かった。部屋までスタッフが荷物を運んでくれ、部屋にはフルーツとチョコレートが毎日置かれていました。朝食会場の雰囲気とスタッフの対応は最高でした。

Disappointing.
Pros:

Near the train station.

Cons:

Far overpriced for what it is. The room service food is bad, with burned rostis and more mushrooms then veal in the meal, very small room, noisy cleaning staff early in the morning in the corridor.

Wonderful welcoming service
Pros:

I arrived late evening without a reservation and the reception staff were wonderful. They were welcoming and arranged a room for me within a couple of minutes. No raised eyebrows - pure discretion. Thank you.

Disappointing Experience
Pros:

Despite reserving months in advance, when we checked in late at night after a long trans-Atlantic journey, we were placed in a room adjacent to one undergoing heavy construction, with constant drilling noise throughout the day. The hallway was covered in construction paper. We weren't warned of this when we checked in, we were just told that our water would be shut off one night. This certainly wasn't what we expected from a highly rated and expensive hotel.

Hotel Schweizerhof Zürich – Elegant, Warm, and Wonderfully Located
Pros:

We stayed at Hotel Schweizerhof Zürich for one night with my husband and our 21-year-old daughter before catching a train the next morning—and it was the perfect start to our Switzerland adventure.

The location truly cannot be beat. Situated directly across from the main train station, it made our early departure seamless and stress-free. What made it even more special was that a bellman personally escorted us all the way to the train platform the next morning. That level of care and attention is rare and so appreciated.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous—beautifully appointed, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Everything felt pristine and welcoming. It was such a cozy, elegant place to land after travel.

We also enjoyed time in the café, which was delicious. Wonderful coffee, lovely atmosphere, and the kind of place you want to linger just a little longer.

Though our stay was short, the hospitality left a lasting impression. Highly, highly recommend Hotel Schweizerhof Zürich for both its charm and its exceptional service.
