Beautiful, well managed hotel! Breakfast was perfect (as it better be for $1500 per night), room felt freshly renovated even if it wasn’t, and the staff were as professionally trained as F1 drivers. It was a great experience.
Well, it was pretty pricy, which could impact my decision to shop around next time in Zurich rather than come straight back to you without question. Of course you’ll know what your costs are and what you need to make to justify the hard work. Just food for thought.

Too small rooms
We stayed at storchen for 2 nights and had a great time. The room is very nice! The hotel set up a baby crib for us and also gave us a cute storchen stuffy that my son loves so much. The room is modern and classic. We can see the big clock from the church directly outside the window. The location is unbeatable-right near the bridge and looking at the water directly. We enjoyed watching swans on the lake in front of the hotel .

The location is simply the best, everything is close, very good restaurants near by, close to the station and not to mention the amazing river view. Our room was clean and spacious. The WiFi worked pretty well. The terrace is very nice to have some drinks and food with a very nice view of the neighborhood.
The breakfast is just ok. With a buffet and à la carte egg options. In the last day of our stay they forgot our eggs and we had to leave without eating them because the taxi was already waiting. The fitness / gym is quite small and hot inside.

Location and restaurants were great!
Location was good and the hotel is small but very cute. Reception staff especially the concierge team and both Adrian and a girl I think called Alottie were both very good. Breakfast was good and the staff even though they were young at breakfast were very service minded and always welcoming.

The category booked on this website is called family city 2 bedroom but in fact it is just 2 normal connecting rooms , and the category under the same name on their own website is much bigger. We were dissapointed after being told to look at their website for floor plans just to realise when we arrived we were having 2 much smaller rooms.
I complained and Adrian and another reception girl handled my complaint very well whilst the Front office manager Philip didnt handle it well at all and had a very bad attitude and no service skills at all.
So that did dampen our stay but the rest of the staff made up for it the days afterwards.
I am still hoping the hotel will take my advice and change the category names to avoid more confusions in the future and perhaps train their management team on how to handle unhappy customers better.
Also not enough wardrobe space or hanging space in the bedroom sadly.
