The breakfast buffet was decent.

Cons:

Starting with the small room (my husband kept bumping his head on the dormer window), poorly supplied bathroom, the digital room key only worked some of the time. Felt a lot like a hostel with private baths but much more costly.

Very convenient location, just a few steps from the train station, and other sights in Zurich. The room was comfortable.

Cons:

Like many other hotels in Zurich, it is very expensive for the amenities that you get. This is a no-frills budget type of lodging, at prices that a luxury hotel would charge in many other cities.

We loved the location and personalized service at The Fred!
Pros:

The location is excellent! Close to the train station and downtown shopping.
A warm personal greeting and a cold drink on a hot day as we arrived.
Assistance getting our boarding passes printed.

Cons:

It would have made it less precarious if there were handholds placed higher in the shower.

The bottom of that tub seems quite slippery as one stands taking a shower

Exploring Zurich
Pros:

It's so convenient for the train station, no roads to cross. I would definitely stay here again. All the staff were excellent, welcoming and made an effort to make sure we were comfortable. Having the drinks station on each floor was brilliant and the cold drink at reception was very welcome after the hot weather.
