It was a comfortable non flexible stay.
Pros:

We loved how centrally located it was to the train station - right across the way. We had McDonald’s and a Starbucks and also many many bakeries and shops. The property had a great breakfast! We were also near by the bridge. The picture attached is getting out of the train station you can see the hotel.

Cons:

unfortunately the staff was not too accommodating. They charged us an extra $1200 for my 12 year old that weighs only 70 lbs and still can sleep anywhere. We asked for a small extra bed for him and it was not provided. So when the room says for 4 if there is an extra person they will enforce it and it’s extremely strict.

Excellent location right at the train station in the center of town. Amazing rooftop and Starbucks in the lobby was very convenient.

Cons:

We booked this very last minute due to the fact they offer air conditioning during the summer heat wave. Only available rooms were suites with sofa beds, which was fine as we were traveling with a child. No linens for the sofa beds in the room. After check in I asked for linens for the sofa bed and was interrogated by staff about how many “persons” were staying because we had only booked for 2 persons. I honestly hadn’t really paid attention to that when booking because I didn’t think it really mattered. TLDR: they wouldn’t give us linens for the sofa bed. Hotel is old and tired. No ice.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience in Lucerne. The hotel was an excellent location for everything.
Pros:

Location was excellent for trains and buses, it couldn’t have been nearer. We didn’t have breakfast during our stay as we felt it was too expensive for 7 nights.

Cons:

The carpet in the room was vacuumed but had many stai stains on it.
