Hotel De La Rose

Everything was lovely. The staff was helpful.

Reception on arrival was very good. Helpful as well to help me make the most of my overnight stay. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Well located for the old town and about 20 mins walk from the station - less going to the hotel, perhaps a little slower going back!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Bathroom was also clean with good water pressure. We enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel. It is a little dated but overall good experience.

The hotel is in a nice part of fribourg with a few cafes and restaurants close by.
The hotel was relaxed but clean and functional.

I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to advise that I needed power by the bed for a medical equipment machine. When I arrived, I discovered that there was a variety of different power outlets but all very old and damaged and none of them fitted the various adapters I had when I went to request assistance from reception they told me I needed to get on a bus and go into the centre of town and buy a suitable adapter which I did however none of the shops had a UK to Swiss . The receptionist was very rude and had no intention of helping out in the situation.

Great location nearby restaurants and cafes. It’s also nearby the bus and train station. The only thing is that the bells from the cathedral ring throughout the night which would constantly wake us up but other than that everything was great!

Nice property, nice room, nice area and friendly staff. Great breakfast. If you’re a light sleeper, be forewarned that church bells across the street ring every 15 minutes all night long, and busses run directly by the hotel. Earplugs helped.

Perfect location and wonderful staff to help orient our exploration of Fribourg. Great stay.

Great room, but noisy at night and very tiny shower! Staff was great! Train station was a bit far but walkable distance.

The hotel was neat and tidy but not too big. There was no facilities in the hotel and breakfast was not included. It was a hot day but we had no air conditioner but a small fan.
Overall the hotel was ok, staff friendly and for the price, I have stayed at better hotels.

I have stayed at this hotel before.
It is in a lovely spot in the old town with everything close by, restaurants and sightseeing.
Breakfast is plentiful with scrambled eggs and bacon as a hot choice as well as continental.
The rooms are clean but beginning to look shabby.
Paper cups instead of china mugs for hot drinks.
No frills.
I would say it’s a low 3 star.

We have stayed here a number of times because it is right across the street from the historic cathedral and and easy walk to the Old City down below. They have paid parking but if you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you.

The room has a beautiful view, comfortable bed and very clean. Close to a lot of food and shops. Parking is kind of a pain, staff was okay.

Located in the old part of the town near to the Cathedral and historic walks and scenery. Pleasant front desk staff and cleaners. Breakfast was satisfactory. Good bathroom facilities. Bed comfortable. Accessible to local restaurants nearby.
