Golf Hotel René Capt

We had a really good time at this super hotel in Montreux. The building itself is beautiful and well looked after, the only drawback being the lack of air conditioning. We do understand one cannot just stick aircon units onto a listed building . Unfortunately we visited during the heatwave. Fans were provided which helped. Our room was spacious and overlooked the lake with a pleasant balcony. Daily cleaning services kept it spick and span. We had half board which my husband really enjoyed. As a vegetarian I found the hotel did its best to accommodate me. Due to the heatwave I suffered a bad flare up with my rheumatoid during the holiday which made it difficult to use cutlery properly. I must have been a real trial to the lovely staff .
Talking of staff I cannot praise them highly enough, from the front of house girls who were lovely and really helpful to the cleaning staff who were understanding of my slowness in leaving the room in the morning. The icing on the cake was the restaurant staff - helpful, charming, patient and willing to put up with two elderlies chatting on. I would recommend this hotel to disabled who can manage without a wheelchair. There was a lift and everywhere was spacious to get about with sticks. The hotel was well situated a few minutes walk from the bus stop to the station and the quay and the city generally. The Montreux Card being excellent for local transport.
Now I would love to see the area in winter.

Hotel jest przepięknie położony, przy promenadzie nad jeziorem, ma piękny ogród, z leżakami. Jest bardzo elegancko i stylowo. Pyszne dania w restauracji. Dobre śniadanie. Przemiły personel w recepcji i restauracji. Z hotelu można promenadą dojść do zamku Chillon i do centrum Montreux. Na przeciwko hotelu jest przystanek autobusu jadącego na dworzec. Bardzo wygodne łóżko, balkon z markizą i widokiem na jezioro to wspaniałe miejsce do odpoczynku, jest też stolik i krzesełka.

Wir hatten wirklich einen tollen Aufenthalt; das Hotel ist einzigartig gelegen mit direktem Zugang zum See und einem tollen Frühstück.

Wonderful Montreux hotel in a gorgeous lakeside spot. We were upgraded to a full lake view room for the four days we were here. We were camping after this hotel but we're so impressed we stayed for another four days. We were half board and the evening meal was of very good quality and plentiful. All of the staff are well trained very pleasant and helpful. The Rene Capt is well deserving of it's four stars.
