It was a perfect experience.
Pros:

The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect. Situated right across from the lake and close to the city center, it offers a great combination of convenience and beautiful surroundings. The atmosphere is wonderful, making it a pleasant and relaxing place to stay. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Old fashioned luxury and comfort
Pros:

Lovely location on the lakeside with amazing views. Fantastic spa included in the room which I had all to myself on the day I went which was wonderful. I had a room in the modern part which was very spacious, comfortable and well appointed but with a view mainly of the carpark (I didn't book a lake view) Decor in these 'executive' rooms is plainer but fine, the 'palace' rooms in the original building are more ornate. Many very professional, polite and helpful staff on hand at all times to look after guests and lots of small touches appropriate to the level of the hotel. Breakfast buffet of hot and cold food excellent choice and quality. When I stayed (October) the clientele seemed mostly retired or a few younger business types, I think the level of care and comfort means this is a great choice for older guests in particular.
