Delightful Hotel
Pros:

My husband booked this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised by the location and the hotel itself. The room was not large and we did not have a view, only one small window but bathroom was renovated and the room was comfortable and very clean. The location was amazing, across from the lake and in the centre of Lugano with shopping and lots of restaurants. The SNL boat cruise docks were across the street and close by. We never had to take our car out of the garages because we could walk to almost all the sites including the funicular to San Salvatore. The service was excellent. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we had on the trip and this was a 3 star not a 4 star as we had stayed in previously. We would definitely stay at this hotel in the future and recommend it.

Amazing hotel, location and service!
Pros:

First off, the location was amazing and a big part of the reason we booked it, but we also read some good reviews around the staff and that turned out to be incredibly true. We came in (6 tired ladies with a lot of baggage) after an overnight flight and they had us sorted in no time, bags stowed and up to the free coffee bar a level up to refuel us. We shopped for a while and upon return, all bags were in our rooms. Everything was very clean and we had a room with an amazing panorama view/balcony. There is a very lovely pool area that we sat for a few hours one afternoon as well. The breakfast room was also very pleasant - good offerings and service as well. We forgot to take note of the woman who was so helpful at the desk but the other kind person there was Yvan. They were an amazing team!

Tolles Hotel mit bester Lage, freundlicher Service
Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einer tollen Historic-Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, am Rande der Altstadt, ganz nahe am See. Die Einrichtung hat mir gut gefallen, das Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Das Freibad liegt idyllisch am Hang, umgeben von südlichen Pflanzen.

Cons:

Da kommt mir nichts in den Sinn.

Pros:

Schönes Hotel, sehr sauber. Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit.
Auch die Lage ist perfekt, um die Stadt bequem zu Fuß zu erkunden.

Cons:

Das einzige Problem war die extreme Hellhörigkeit des Zimmers. Die Wände zu den Nachbarzimmern sowie zum Flur sind extrem dünn. Jedes Gespräch, das Öffnen und Schließen von Türen sowie Schritte auf dem Gang waren ungefiltert und sehr laut im Zimmer zu hören.

Great Lugano Hotel
Pros:

Ideal location, decor intended to help you feel the history of the place without feeling dated, and the staff were excellent in all regards. We had the three person suite and found it more spacious than expected. Bathrooms appeared to be updated recently. The pool and back garden were peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was great. Price was less than Lucerne or Zurich hotels.
