Great home base from which to explore the Lake Lugano area.
Pros:

This feels to me like some hotel out of a Goddard or Fellini movie from the 1960s or 70s. It's a large complex, right on the waterfront and at one end of the Via Nassa pedestrian zone. Perfect location for exploring Lugano. Our room was pretty big with views over the hotel's pool and bar. The beds were pretty low to the ground for my liking, but it was an ok sleep. All the rest of the room had been refurbished with the modern touches--especially well-located power points for charging electronics.

The room rate included a buffet breakfast, although it was pretty crowded with tour groups. But it was a great selection of food. They also have a lounge upstairs with free soft drinks and an honour bar--great for relaxing at the end of the day. Down the hall is a room showcasing the hotel's history. That is definitely worth a visit! They have free parking in an attached garage, just let them know ahead of time as spaces are somewhat limited.

Nice hotel in Lugano
Pros:

Breakfast was great. Bed was pretty comfortable and shower was nice.

Cons:

Got placed in the room closest to the Lobby Bar which wasn't ideal for someone trying to get a good night's sleep. Noisy until 11p-Midnight.

Heerlijk!
Pros:

Vanaf het station is het te lopen en er is een bushalte voor de deur, het hotel is vol historie, het bed lag heerlijk, het was erg rustig op de gang/in de kamer, de badkamer was fijn, het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ik had een kamer met balkonnetje met uitzicht op een stukje meer ('s avonds lekker in een luie stoel kunnen genieten met een wijntje), alles was erg schoon en het ontbijt was heel goed (veel keus, alleen een gekookt eitje ontbrak geloof ik ik :-)

Classy old-fashioned hotel in central location
