Hotel Vittoria

Loved this small hotel. Located at the entrance to the Pompeii ruins, with a view of Mt Vesuvius from our balcony. The room was wonderful, clean, comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. Walking distance to restaurants, train and the main centre.

Staff were wonderful. Right beside the Pompeii entrance with a few good restaurants within 50 metres. Great breakfast and very clean and comfortable room.

Excellent location next to the main gate to Pompei.
Well used by large tour groups for meals but the staff were still very attentive to us.
The rooms were large and well appointed.

Beste Lage, wenige hundert Meter vom Eingang zu den archäologischen Grabungen entfernt. Freundliches Personal, sehr schönes Gebäude, komfortables Zimmer, Parkplatz vor der Tür, sehr gutes Frühstück (gemessen daran, dass es in Italien sonst oft nur ein paar Süßspeisen zum Frühstück gibt). Sehr gerne beim nächsten Besuch wieder.

Room was comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a dinner on the rooftop watching the sunset that was delightful.

We were very pleased with our stay here - the breakfast far exceeded our expectations, the staff were all very attentive and willing to help and were very welcoming to us, and the location absolutely could not be beat right next to the entrance to Pompeii! The rooms were comfortable, and had a balcony with a view. Our room was also perfectly located next to the elevator and the balcony that leads to the rooftop bar. Carmella was our primary host, and seemed eager to answer any questions we ever had and help in any way - she was great! Our primary reason for visiting was to see the ancient city, and we were lent an umbrella for our visit. It was a nice quiet place to stay, despite being a prime location. Close enough walking distance for us to a supermarket and mall for a few other things to do while in Pompeii.

Location was perfect, breakfast, when we had it (sometimes we needed to leave before breakfast was served), was ideal, the room was a good size and the bathroom ideal with plenty of towels. The staff could not have been more helpful and it was nice to know the reception was staffed overnight.

Staff were excellent, Tina, Emmanuella and Carmen could not do enough to help. The breakfast was outstanding with a huge selection to choose from. For us, the situation of the hotel, right at the gates of the Pompei ruins, was perfect. The little rooftop bar was an added bonus where we watched the fire planes dousing a fire on the side of Vesuvius. The hotel is spotless, with the rooms having just been refurbished. A small issue with the shower temp being off one evening wasn’t to much of an issue due to the temperature outside being 35 degrees, so a tepid shower was in fact a blessing. We were even invited to the owners birthday celebration on our last night, but our departure flight time meant we could really stay as long as we’d have liked. Situated a five minute walk from the local train station, it was easy to visit Sorrento, and the drive to Salerno and Vietre was an experience to remember…. Yes the Italians drive as if they’re in the wacky races, but you’ll pick up the types of tooting they use to tell you things, it’s great fun. Overall, a great little find and superb staff. What more could you ask for.
