Everything about our stay was perfect! It was such a peaceful place to spend a few days checking out Paestum. It’s walkable to all restaurants and ruins. The staff was sweet, helpful and generous with their time. They gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner. It was a joy staying here!

When we arrived, the hotel looked shut up for the season. There were electronic gates firmly closed to all entrances. However, on pushing an intercom, they slide open and we were greeted by a very friendly lady.

The hotel has a rustic charm and is very peaceful with pleasant gardens full of lime trees. Our room over looked the garden and was large and had a similar rustic charm to the hotel public areas. Its located about 15 minutes walk from the temple complex entrance.

We had a glass enclosed terrace which made the room even larger. Unfortunately, birds kept crashing into the glass which made us jump! They left their dusty imprints over the windows. The beds were terrible, like sleeping on concrete and the pillows were like bricks. Woke up each morning aching and exhausted.

The bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water, however the heater made a whining noise all night long. The toiletries were sparse (bring your own) and the shower gel dispenser in the cubicle was down to its last dregs. Thought it might have been filled for new guests? The shower was tiny. Anyone with a fuller figure would not have been able to use it. The shower head was great but with no room to move to lather, it was awkward. Towels were small but okay.

Breakfast was pastry heavy with all manner of sweet rolls, buns and cakes, very little in the more traditional breakfast fare. There was yoghurt and juices (fresh) but they were never replenished so if you were later for breakfast there were dregs or nothing. Suppose if one asked, they'd have been refilled. At least the cappuccinos were made fresh and limitless - if only they'd have been hotter.

There are plenty of restaurants near by and closer to the temples but not all are open evening day/evening.

Amazing nice place, quit, close to the temples and restaurants. Friendly staff, great breakfast, rooms with enough space, overall very nice.

This is a very charming property and a very convenient location for anyone planning to visit Paestum's archeological park.

Beautiful building, beautiful setting, walking distance to Paestum, lovely staff.
I’d definitely recommend one of the rooms on the 2nd floor with a view of the garden. Our room even had a glassed in patio.
Restaurant closed in July 2021, many others a short walk away.
If you can manage to reserve Paestum online do it! There is an entry very close to the hotel, if you have to go to the ticket office the walk is much longer.

Cozy, elegant and quiet family-run boutique hotel within walking distance of Paestum archeological site and quaint restaurants. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly. It is within easy walking distance from the ruins at Paestum. The breakfast was excellent and filling.

Staff provided a friendly check-in and parking was nearby and free. We had a spacious room but it was on the third floor with no lift. The wi-fi access was spotty and the air conditioner was not strong. The breakfast was very nice.

just spent a night here recently -- charming owners and staff -- al helpful and patient -- great value -- especially room 106 with a view to one of the paestum temples -- would highly recommend -- hearty and home-made breakfast.......

We stayed 2 nights at this charming hotel, well-located for touring the ancient ruins of Paestum, a short walk away to the entrance and museum. The hotel is a former barn turned into a lovely hotel, filled with interesting antiques from its past. The staff were outstanding and extremely helpful in making suggestions for local activities. Breakfast was a huge buffet with coffee made for us individually. Excellent!

Our room was spacious, with a view of the the ruins. I had been expecting to see the temples well-lit from my window, but do know that they are are some distance away, it’s not as if you’re seeing it close up.

We loved touring the ruins of Paestum and highly recommend seeing the museum as well. We also had a fantastic lunch at Barlotti Buffalo farm, recommended by the lovely staff at the hotel), and though we didn’t do a paid tour, we were allowed to walk around and look at the animals closeup.

We visited in mid-October, so out of high season, and it was pretty empty when we arrived, so it felt a bit odd. Fortunately, the lovely staff made us feel very welcome and, later, a few more people arrived, so it didn’t feel so strange.

We were very comfortable here and the reason for the 4* instead of 5* is that the bed was hard and not very comfortable.

Il Granaio dei Casabella is a former granary which was converted into an estate, then converted again into guest rooms for tourists. Our room was safe, clean, and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The bed, however, was a little firm for our taste. The main building offers a couple of nice rooms for sitting, reading, and relaxing. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with flowering vines and shrubs. Small birds roost in the vines and twitter at sundown. The buildings seethe with old world charm. Veronica will be your hostess, and she is as helpful as she is adorable. The buffet style breakfast includes house-baked sweets and cornetti as well as the usual cheeses and meats. A liveried attendant will prepare your hot beverages, eggs, and crepes. Il Grenaio offered the best cornetti and one of the best cappuccinos on our 17-day trip. This lodging is within easy walking distance to the Paestum archeological site. This is one of those places which make you feel good about yourself at a price you can afford.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Quaint, clean, and comfortable inn. Very convenient to the ruins. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. Truly exceptional!

The property is lovely, authentic. The staff and kind owner go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. The room we had was large and so was bathroom. Breakfast was really nice and again staff was wonderful. Location across the street from the temples which was perfect.

great place and very friendly

This place is amazing. excellent breakfast.. beautiful gardens. and great hospitality. very clean and comfortable beds. the owners even fixed my shoe overnight when i had a problem with the sole. this is the best place to stay if visiting the ruins of paestum

This is a cool property and very convenient to town and ruins. Breakfast was nice with an amazing assortment of homemade goodies. However, there could be an improvement in amenities in the bathroom and room. Very few toiletries offered. No hair dryer.

Hotel and rooms were nicely decorated in old world charm which was both welcoming and comfortable. Room came with complimentary bottled water and breakfast. Hotel uses eco-friendly biodegradable local amenities. Very convenient to Paestum archeological site.

Very near ruins. Exceptional and professional staff. We were very comfortable and the rooms of the property were very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable!
