This hotel is about old , maybe from the 90’s just guessing! Anyway, the staffs were all great and services were fast and our room had a double deck bed but the bed’s stairs were a bit hazardous because they were detachable and it could fall.
The room was always clean and the bed was great for sleeping.
Thanks !
Concerns dealt with immediately. Staff responsive to requests and went out of their way to meet your needs.
Location was disappointing as it’s on the highway and cannot go anywhere on foot must drive. Bathrooms need a redo. Staff all lovely, nice breakfast too!
Good access
I had a very bad experience in terms of my room (old furniture, damaged walls, uncomfortable mattresses, the paint on the wardrobe and desk was a little worn and the ventilation in the bathroom did not work). In the other hand, the staff was quite welcoming, especially the gentleman at the reception (but still, not many employees speak English well and being Romanian it was a bit difficult for me to understand them). For my taste, there was no food that fully satisfied me. The reception is renovated but the rest of the hotel is not.
For me, this is not a 4 star hotel.
Overall, this is an average 4-star hotel that offers all the essential amenities. However, a few aspects could be improved to enhance the guest experience.
One inconvenience is the absence of a hotel bar or lounge service outside of breakfast hours, which makes it hard to enjoy a coffee or a drink on-site during the day or evening.
The bathroom is in urgent need of renovation, with visible mold stains near the sink and around certain areas. The shower is poorly sealed, causing significant water leakage—enough that it can reach outside the bathroom and even the room.
Breakfast is generally satisfactory, with a nice selection of pastries, croissants, and cakes for those who enjoy a traditional Italian breakfast.
Pros:
- Good range of basic amenities for a 4-star property
- Pleasant Italian breakfast with fresh pastries and cakes
- Convenient for travelers seeking an uncomplicated stay
Cons:
- No bar or lounge service after breakfast hours
- Bathroom needs renovation (mold, water leakage issues)
- Shower not properly sealed, causing water to spread outside the bathroom
Perfect stop over. Nice breakfast too
Everything is amazing!!
We recently stayed at the Barion Hotel for three nights. Overall, our experience was just okay—not terrible, but definitely not great either.
One of the best features of the hotel is the view from the room window, and the rooftop terrace also offers beautiful panoramic views. Unfortunately, that might be the only thing the hotel truly has going for it.
The property seems to cater more to business travelers and conventions rather than tourists or guests staying multiple days. During our stay, we found the atmosphere lacking warmth or hospitality that one would expect from a vacation destination.
The hotel has a bar, but it feels inconsistent—on some nights it’s completely empty, and on others it may have one person serving. If you miss the set breakfast, lunch, or dinner times, there are no other food options available, and the menu itself never changes.
The location is also a major drawback. It’s about 30 minutes away from the city center, and we found it difficult to get taxis or any food delivery—which might be due to either the hotel policies or its remote setting.
In short, if you’re a tourist looking to explore Bari and enjoy flexibility and local flavor, I’d recommend doing thorough research—this hotel may not be the most convenient or comfortable choice for that kind of stay.
The air conditioning was not working at all. The first day too hot 27.0C. We called the maintenance staff to sorting out the air conditioning the system was running all day at 22.0C unable to control the temperature from the control during the night. The air conditioning vent blocked of dust. The breakfast very boring and repetitive the quality of product poor.
This hotel is not anymore 4 start.
I really loved the customer service. Everyone at this hotel was very helpful, understanding and informative. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was away from restaurants or the city and the beach was still a little far given that we didn’t have a car. It wasn’t at a walking distance. However, the shuttle was available to get to the city.
Good Staff.
Location and surroundings not that good.
We are from Croatia. We had a great stay at the hotel. Special regards to kind Eka, she is a great hardworking person and an excellent coktail maker ! She made our expreience even better with her warm soul and telling us more about Italy !!!!!!!
The staff could not have been nicer and eager to please
The hotel is on the side of the highway so it’s good to get access and get somewhere fast. Average hotel nothing crazier different. Good place to stay if your part of a long road trip and continue on the road next day , sort of had a motel vibe where people to to cheat on their spouse , but whatever I didn’t mind I was just staying one night
Hotel was good, very convenient location.
Vegan friendly (they serve my kind of breakfast-cappuccino con latte d'avena(oat milk) and macedonia-) and great view restaurant, clean room and comfy bed😇 Breakfast staff was very kind to bring ice for my toothaches!
I like the hotel, I wished the spa was more available, but I understand it was on holidays time
We stayed in this hotel for five days, IT was convinient starting point for exploring Puglia. Friendly stuf, clean rooms, well organized transfer to Bari, reasonable prices, nice CAMPARI SPRITS made by Maurizio!!! We hihgly recomand this hotel.
Staying at the Brian hotel was an excellent experience. From the awesome breakfast to the friendly staff, there was nothing but top-notch service provided. We would definitely recommend this to anybody staying in the Barrie area of Italy.
