Hotel Libertà

The pictures of the property and rooms really misrepresent the property for what it is. The deteriorating laminate wood floors left you wondering what else was wrong with room. The beautiful views you see are generally not available for guests to use.

The hotel info listed in Expedia is highly inaccurate in terms of contacting owner/front desk for checkin. Best thing I can say is it could have been worse. I felt misled however.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff was helpful and the hotel was in a great location.

O hotel está bem localizado, próximo às principais atrações da cidade, e com fácil acesso para meios de transportes, no entanto o prédio em que está instalado, deixa a desejar pois o mesmo é no décimo andar e, normalmente só tem um elevador, que comporta 2 pessoas funcionando, o que ocasiona longo tempo de espera. Outra deficiência do hotel é que o café da manhã é bem fraco. Na recepção não tem funcionário em período integral , e a área com vista panorâmica , que é a sala de café, só fica aberta na hora do café e no final da tarde. O box do banheiro é minúsculo e se a pessoa for um pouco “fofinha”, não tem como tomar banho.

The view was amazing. The breakfast room/balcony was really special. But, while it is open in the morning, later in the day it was closed to guests, so don't plan on easily having a drink there later.

Only shampoo in bathroom, no bar of soap, no wash cloth.

Very friendly staff, but only Dana, a housekeeper, spoke English. Hard to communicate, call for arrangements, etc.

It's really a small, family-run auberge-- very clean, personal.

Shower in my room was TINY, and there was a leak from the wall when you turned on the shower.

The room was quiet for a busy area because the hotel is located in the higher floors of a high-rise building. But the room looked a bit worn and dated. The hotel is in a central area of Palermo and is well communicated. Panoramic views from the breakfast room. Breakfast choice was fairly limited. Overall good value.

Literie potable, propreté très moyenne et petit déjeuner lamentable: croissant industriel, café en poudre, baguette industrielle servie 3 jours de suite, salle fermée à 8h10' . Bref, évitez!

A személyzet kedves, segítőkész, angolul kevésbé beszélnek. A fürdőszoba hideg volt és nyirkos, de a szoba megfelelő, tágas, jól felszerelt. Az étkező színvonalas, szép, csak hideg. A 10. emeleti teraszról kiváló a városra a kilátás minden oldalra. A kikötőtől nagyon közel volt a hotel.
Az édes reggeli alap volt, mi kértünk reggelire tojást és szalámit is. A tulajdonosnak külön köszönet a segítőkészségéért.

L'hotel est bien situé, propre, chambres correctes. Mais un service tres pauvre. le 1er jour notre chambre a été faite mais pas refermée à clé... nous ne sommes rentrés que le soir tard (heureusement sans incident). le 2eme jour nous avons attendu les cafés du petits dej en vain...nous les attendons encore.
et le summum fut le 3eme jour : clim réglée à fond, avec telecommande vieille, te ue par un scotch et impossible à eteindre, et comme il n'y a personne la nuit, nous avons passé la nuit à essayer de bloquer ce frigo : résultat, une nuit blanche et une angine!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l'hôtel Liberta. Très bien situé au centre du Palerme historique. Le petit déjeuner était très correct, le personnel adorable et la chambre était impeccable. Le seul petit problème qui n'en était pas un pour nous mais qui peut déranger est que la chambre ne disposait pas d'un accès Wifi, il fallait descendre à la réception.

Although it has some charm, this hotel has a bit of catching up to do. Room was nothing like any of the pics on the site. Breakfast was below rudimentary. Great views of the city from the balcony.

Med beliggenhed på 10 etage har dette lille hotel en fantastisk udsigt over Palermo som er hele opholdet vær.

SALLE DE PETIT DÉJEUNER PANORAMIQUE TRÈS AGRÉABLE. Le patron parle français et est très agréable, prêt à rendre service, donner des informations.
Très bien situé, en centre ville. Absence totale de bruit (situé au 10ème étage)

Gérant à l écoute chambre spacieuse

イタリアには慣れていましたが、シチリアには初の上陸で、初めての宿でした。
まず、場所が少し分かりづらい。ホテルがいくつか並んでる場所の一角ですが、看板にスカイテラスと書かれてるだけで後は普通のアパートのように入らなくてはいけない。
朝の８時半にチェックイン出来ると書いてあったのに行ったら誰もいない。（結局電話をして来てもらいました）
朝食も８時半からと言われて８時45分くらいに行ったのに準備できていないと言われる。
部屋が狭く、ネットが使えなかったのでリクエストしたら別の広くてネットも使える部屋に変えてくれた。

シチリアは他のイタリアとは違うなと実感させられました。
ただし、人は優しいし、しっかり自分の要求を伝えられ、時間に余裕をもって行動すれば上記の箇所も気にならないかと思います。

悪いとは思いませんが、分かってないと驚愕します。

I stayed at the hotel liberta for two nights and found it to be comfortable and clean with great views over the city.
The hotel is located on the tenth floor of a high rise block and the lifts for accessing the hotel are a little slow. The compensation for this are the great views from the restaurant balcony.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, though often not around after early evening.
My room was small but well appointed and the bathroom was clean.
Breakfast was fairly basic, and there was no fresh coffee available. Also, despite the hotel description stating there was a cafe/snack bar on site I never once saw this open, and when I asked for a drink I was met with disappointment.
That aside, I would definitely recommend the Hotel liberta as a good base for exploring the heart of Palermo.
