Villa Palocla

Villa Palocla ist ein schönes repräsentatives Landhaus , allerdings ist das gesamte Anwesen regelrecht mit Sperrmüll zugestellt. Es wird in erster Linie für größere Feste am Abend genutzt, was unter Umständen die Nachtruhe ziemlich einschränkt.
Das Frühstück lässt manche Wünsche offen, alles in allem schöne Villa, aber leider wenig Stil und Service.

E stato molto rilassante, un posto tranquillo, trattati bene.

Accueil très froid. De nombreux travaux en cours dans l'hôtel. L'impression que les clients étaient de trop.

The room and facility was very nice. But the location was not near anything unless you had car to get to local city.

Personale gentilissimo, ottimo il ristorante. La struttura dimostra la sua età e meriterebbe qualche "ritocco, ma nel complesso è assolutamente consigliata. Non capita tutti i giorni di soggiornare in una vera struttura siciliana e non c'è paragone, almeno per me, con gli hotel anonimi, a 4 stelle, uguali in tutto il mondo.

Il resort è immerso in un parco/giardino pieno di alberi da frutto e di fiori.
Le camere sono molto belle.
La colazione eccezionale

Bella piscina, ottimo servizio struttura in po' datata. Nel complesso bel posto immerso nel verde a pochi minuti di macchina dalle spiagge e dal centro.

Hotel piacevole con piscina , un giardino fiorito e ricco di alberi di agrumi , ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo , struttura ben restaurata , mobili un po' vecchi e colazione con le solite brioche surgelate e scaldate al momento immangiabili . In una terra di dolci si può accedere a molte altre scelte di dolci con mandorle senza dover ricorrere a finte brioche . Personale gentile . Buona la pulizia

WiFi didn't work for us in our room----had to go to reception to do our work on-line. Very friendly and helpful staff and quiet room made up for it.

Wonderful hotel with character and great staff. Excellent pool with extremely comfy sunbeds. Ate in hotel for both nights of our stay. Good food & reasonably priced. Could pick from a menu instead of having to have a set priced meal. Only negative was the noisy plumbing probably due to age of hotel.

1 dag vroeger vertrokken omdat het zwembad 2 van de 3 dagen niet beschikbaar was. S ochtends zwemles voor kinderen uit de buurt (hotelgasten kunnen niet in zwembad) ; na de middag bereidt men trouwfeest voor. (Brug in zwembad gebouwd). Overal worden stoelen en tafels opgestapeld voor allerlei andere activiteiten. Als hotelgast kom je op de laatste plaats. We reizen heel vaak. Nog nooit heb ik een hotel zo slecht gewaardeerd. Hoe dit hotel aan hun waarderingscijfer komt, is mij een raadsel. De reviews zijn ook helemaal niet recent. Ontbijt oké maar niet fantastisch. Kamer redelijk.

Etwas außerhalb gelegen bietet das Hotel eine gute Ausgangsbasis zur Besichtigung von Agrigent und Selinunte. Strandbesuche sind ebenso möglich und in Sciacca gibt es leckeres Eis. Das Hotel selbst ist italienisch gut ausgestattet, der Pool sauber und das Frühstück keine Offenbarung aber für italienische Verhältnisse o.k. Abends kann man gut im Restaurant essen. Qualität und Service stimmen.

We loved our stay at Villa Palocla. We had a wonderful dinner, as well.

The hotel is not located in a town but in the countryside surrounded by an orange grove. We enjoyed this but it does make it more difficult to go out for a late dinner away from the hotel. Having said that, their restaurant was very good and the service was wonderful. We had a great room with a view over the front courtyard. It was large, clean and quiet. (However as a disclaimer, the hotel wasn't full so the noise issue may be different in high season.)There is a pool onsite but as it was January, it wasn't open.

The only down side at this hotel was the Wi-fi. It was very hit and miss but no hardship.

Really excellent pool and good supper. Very nice staff. Sadly our room was at the front by the road, so a bit noisy in the morning from 5.30 a.m. onwards. One or two items (Loo seat hinge and shower rose attachment etc) broken, but really excellent apart from these minor things.

Stayed at villa Palocla after 6 days in Rome and Catania, it was the perfect contrast. Villa Palocla is 3km out of Scaicca. The grounds and pool are well maintained. Food is excellent and reasonably priced so no need to drive into Scaicca. The rooms are quaint if a little dark. Service from the owner down was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. There are 2 beaches within 20mins drive. We preferred lido Fiora on the way to Porto Palo, 2km of soft white sand. If your looking for a countryside retreat yet only 20 mins from a beach or lively town, this place is for you. We loved it so much we extended our stay!

Lovely place. Obviously a labour of love for the owners. Just stayed the one night en route to our final destination but such a pleasant stay. Staff and management were so attentive and efficient. Early morning swim in the beautiful pool was wonderful!

This hotel is an absolute gem. It is a beautiful reclaimed villa, wonderfully decorated in typical classical italian style with hand painted ceilings. There is a generous infinity pool with comfortable sunbeds and ample unbrellas.
The staff were very accomodating and the food was excellent.
However you definitely need a car as it is in the middle of nowhere!
