Nice hotel and walking distance to the main areas. Close to the Ancient Greek Theater. The staff was very a accommodating.
Great hotel - perfect location to see Taormina. Amazing view of the harbour and Etna. Breakfast ok - the bedroom we had was fabulous
I just ordered 2 rooms on aprile a double for me and my fiance and a triple for my parents and my brother.
When I just arrived at the hotel on july 11 I just discovered that the room was only one with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, so me and my fiance was supposed to share the bathroom with my parents, the thing is that I ordered 2 separate rooms and the receptionist just told me they thought we were a family so that wasn’t a problem.
How in the world an hotel can make such a mistake and make fun of their customers!?
I’m embarrassed about this situation as they still won’t give the money back so I can go on a different hotel.
JUST RIDICULOUS!
Worst hotel i ever stayed in. We were 3 people and they shoved us in the smallest room. They put a 3rd bed under the tv. The room was so small we couldn’t put all our clothes away. So the room was a mess. The cleaning lady never cleaned. Even got a paper that said she could t clean because all the mess… well yeah… 3 women with loads of clothes and no space… the bathroom was disgusting. The AC was leaking water on my bed. Thank god i took my own sheets with me!! My 2 travel companions legs were red and bitten by bedbugs. The breakfast was a joke. The staff looked depressed. We went to reception after 1h of arriving and asked another room but not possible. Breakfast is the everyday the same =not fresh
Disappointing!! It is a very basic B&B that needs a good clean and has none of the listed facilities!! There is no restaurant, there is no coffee shop, there is no pool.
Only the photos from the roof terrace are genuine. The tables on the roof terrace were all rusted.
Photos on Booking.com are false not even the hotel facade is the same and the breakfast is from someone's imagination!!
There are no brightly colored table clothes or juice in jugs. It's out of a dispensing machine, choose your glass carefully as they again need a good wash and scrub.
The bathroom needs an upgrade and a good clean with a steamer to get rid of the black mould around the sink and shower!!
Finding previous occupants cookie wrappers in the bedside table is not appreciated!!
Small room, cleaning and breakfast service very poor . Towels were changed after 4 days, when I asked the lady to change them. Ugly breakfast room. The only good thing was the Girl at the reception which was very helpful and nice, and the seaview of the room and the location of the hotel very near to the old town.
Great Hotel, perfect location, minutes from the centre, yards from a wonderful garden. Typical Italian B&B hotel, we were lucky to upgrade to a really nice room with fantastic views over the bay. Very helpful staff, clean and tidy, continental breakfast, loads of pastries and cake, and coffee. If we had believed some of the reviews we would not have booked, but we took a chance and we were not disappointed, thanks to all at the Hotel Elios.
Great quiet location by beautiful gardens. Fantastic views of sea and etna from roof terrace. Very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent choices for breakfast. They have an arrangement with a small car park nearby €20 - try to arrange before you arrive. Very reasonable prices for Taormina
The Hotel was in walking distance from the Gates, Bus terminal and many fine cafe and restaurants. The views are just lovely of Mount Etna and beach. You will find everything here, hike the mountain to the Madonna Della Rocca Shrine. It will give you a unique experience back thousand of years ago and hurt legs! The hotel served nice breakfast and great service. This is certainly a well established hotel with great management. Thanks girls at front desks for your kindness and assistance during my stay🙏🏿 Check out the pictures for place with great food and Cannolis!
We had a room with a spectacular view of the sea, and a balcony. Good size bed and bathroom. Clean. Located between central Taormina (greek theatre, restaurants, shops) and the sea, so it's easy to go to both (to go back up from the beach, try the telepheric.
Ottima posizione, scarso il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non credo che ci ritornerò, troppo caro per i servizi che offre.
We upgraded to the sea view room #27 (on the third floor) it was worth it! The room was large with 4 beds in it and a balcony that was perfect overlooking the ocean and Mount Etna. The breakfast was basic; bread and croissants with butter and jam, with coffee and juice.
POSITIVE
- VERY service minded and helpful staff (especially Chiara and Giuseppe)
- good breakfast
- comfortable room
- walking distance to the city centre
- very close to restaurants (good advice from Chiara)
TO BE IMPROVED
- difficult to find the hotel, a description would be good to receive in advance (since many streets are only one-way or for residents)
- hotels.com need to change the phone no. on their webpage since it has changed and also take away the text that the hotel is “close to the beach”. We walked to the beach, which is no problem but when you write “close”, it should be closer :-)
We were delighted to be offered an upgrade to their partner hotel next door
at no extra charge. However on our return home we were shocked to find that as well as the cost of the stay we had also been charged an extra night as though we hadn’t shown up at the Hotel Elios. Staff on the desk have not been helpful when I called to point this out and asked us to email customer service, which I have done 3 times with no reply. I took the complaint to Expedia who said it was between us and the hotel. When I disputed this, Expedia have now taken it up either the hotel group, but that is all....still no resolution and O am still out of pocket I remain unimpressed with Expedia and would not recommend the hotel.
Very well located in Taormina with a beautiful panoramic view of Mount Etna.

Quite disappointing although the expectations were not very high ( while the price was - 300€ total for 2 nights, to be able to have a window and breakfast I need to add up extra costs). Breakfast was served at 8 o’clock only as I found out the following day so could not have it as I needed to leave at 7:30. Bathroom was tiny, no frigo bar, no elevator to the floor on which we stayed and no one to help with the suitcases.
I didn’t have extremely high expectations, picking up the hotel rather for commodity reasons. It wasn’t extremely cheap considering it was 3 star only but on arrival I found out that I got a special offer ( room without a window- or better with one that had a wall 20 cm from it) and that if I wanted a room with a bit more light I would have to pay a special supplement, which i did. Only on arrival I found out that the breakfast was served from 8 o’clock but that the breakfast lady would be there much earlier able to serve me something. When I showed up at breakfast at 7:30 I learned that I had been misinformed. Whoever told me this at the reception was wrong was the answer. Well I did have a chance to try it next day and honestly I had missed nothing.
There room were not clean enough, bathroom tiny and every morning at 8 someone would put a key to the door trying to open it. No frigo bar, not even a small bottle of water. Claustrophobic and unfriendly
This hotel is a good city hotel in taormina. Close to all main monuments andvmain street. Rooms are fine, staff is helpful not the best I ever met but for the room price I paied was OK. Good experience. Breakfast OK
Sehr gute Lage. Frühstück ok. Hotel ok. Durchschnittliche Qualität.
