Such a beautiful hotel tranquil and calm and a real luxurious calm hotel away from the hubbub of Funchal and easy access

Un séjour magique
Pros:

Notre séjour à Casa Velha do Palheiro a été tout simplement magique. Nous avons eu la chance d'être surclassés en suite, une délicate attention qui a rendu cette expérience encore plus mémorable.

L'hôtel est absolument splendide, avec beaucoup de charme et une élégance discrète. Tout est parfaitement entretenu, des chambres aux espaces communs en passant par les magnifiques jardins. Le personnel est d'une grande gentillesse, attentif et toujours souriant, offrant un service irréprochable. Les petites attentions quotidiennes nous ont touchées.

Le petit-déjeuner, servi en extérieur, est un véritable moment de plaisir. Le cadre est paisible et raffiné, idéal pour bien commencer la journée.

Le spa est très agréable et parfait après les marches, et les massages délicieux.

Le jardin botanique attenant mérite à lui seul une visite. C'est une magnifique promenade, parfaitement entretenue, qui ajoute un vrai plus au séjour et constitue un havre de paix.

Nous y avons passé trois nuits exceptionnelles et nous en garderons un excellent souvenir. Une adresse de caractère que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation si on a envie de s’offrir un moment luxueux.

Stunning, gracious and romantic mansion! Not to be missed.
Pros:

The most lovely gracious manor with beautiful surroundings, unbelievable garden, very good restaurant and wonderful service.

Cons:

A few very small suggestions, 1) pool chlorine was very high and 2) gym equipment could be updated a bit

Fantastic all around! Cannot wait to come back and stay again it was that good!!
Pros:

Everything. Clean. Comfortable. Staff was over the top accommodating. Everyone that worked there was fabulous! Extremely high quality stay! Enjoyed the grounds.

Cons:

Nothing. Tasting menu was very slowly timed but delicious and staff was impeccable. So the wait was worth it.

Een mooie afsluiting van een week Madeira met alle comfort!
Pros:

Prachtige ligging, mooie tuinen, heerlijk ontbijt, mooie en ruime kamers en vriendelijk personeel. Specifieke aandacht ook voor dieetwensen bij alle maaltijden.

Marvellous place to stay and relax
Pros:

The location and the views from the Golf Clubhouse. The tea-house in the gardens and the whole general area.
Luis and the staff are so professional and pleasant and nothing is any trouble.
The shuttle bus service down to Funchal was very useful.

Cons:

Our only problem was that the evening meal was very fancy in the main restaurant to eat there every day, so we also used the golf clubhouse which is owned by the Hotel and ate looking over Funchal
