We eloped in Madeira and stayed here for our wedding and took photos in the gardens. The staff was wonderful and the service was outstanding. They were so kind and even helped with steaming my wedding dress the day of our ceremony. The grounds are beautiful and breakfast is delicious. We had such a lovely time here and will forever remember it.

Great stay in Velha
Pros:

The hotel was superb, with a beautiful room, excellent facilities, and lovely surroundings.

Carolina was incredibly welcoming when we arrived late, and Sonja was extremely professional, helpful, and attentive with all our requests. All the staff were polite, friendly, and genuinely accommodating throughout our stay.

We were so impressed with the hotel and the level of service that we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again and would be very happy to return in the future.

Pros:

The atmosphere was very relaxing and an overall comfortable stay

Cons:

Service for food was very slow and at times items ordered never showed up. One reception staff was great but the rest not so much. An example amongst others: we asked for breakfast takeaway for our hike and one told us it was not possible for a coffee to takeaway while we had it the day before…multiple towels by the pool also smell like vomit.

Excellent, one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at
Pros:

Gorgeous property with well-maintained facilities. We had dinner at the Oxalis restaurant twice was excellent, and honestly one of the best food experiences we’ve ever had.
The gardens and the adjoining golf course were stunning. Location is great, far from the busy resort area of Funchal. Breakfast was great too.

Ficámos hospedados após a celebração intimista do nosso casamento e não poderíamos estar mais do que satisfeitos. Não há sequer palavras para descrever o alojamento, o staff... toda a excelência, carinho e atenção que foi prestado. Certamente que voltaremos 🤍

Overheerlijk verblijf in een prachtig natuurkader en zeer mooi gebouw. Ik

Personeel is buitengewoon vriendelijk !!, zeer professioneel en tegemoetkomend voor alle vragen.
Ontbijt was overheerlijk, ruim, gevarieerd en super gezond met natuurverse producten.
Menukaart voor goedkopere diners was wat beperkt, maar toch OK voor een verblijf van 4 dagen.

Cons:

Niets aan te merken.
