Breakfast was very good, with staff very willing to prepare a special cappuccino . Mattresses in room were good, but bathroom fan and bidet stopper didn’t work. Carpets in hall somewhat frayed. Location is great, very central to everything, but not noisy at night.
The Hotel enjoys a prime location in a charming neighborhood with a beautiful view of the Grand Canal. It's conveniently situated near several vaporetti stops, making it easy to explore Venice. The rooms are spacious. However, the age of the building does show in some areas. The bathroom sink was clogged during our stay, and the shower doors were unstable, occasionally coming off their tracks. The fridge in the room was completely empty, and there were no water bottles or a coffee machine provided, which felt like a missed opportunity for guest comfort. The hotel features a rooftop that offers an incredible view but was abandoned and poorly maintained. In reality, it had a few scattered tables and was clearly not set up for guest use.
Service was inconsistent. Some staff members were courteous, others at the reception were noticeably hostile and unwelcoming. The hotel is also understaffed, which may explain the lack of attentiveness. Breakfast was limited and repetitive. On top of that, we were mistakenly charged an extra €20 for having breakfast on the terrace despite never having eaten outside. At checkout, we were given someone else’s bill, and they also added a city tax for our 4-year-old child, which should not have been applied according to local regulations. Given the high room rates, management is relying solely on guest turnover without making any efforts to enhance the guest experience or create a welcoming atmosphere that could enhance the experience.
Great breakfast included each morning and a very friendly staff.
Beautiful hotel right on the water. The room had a balcony overlooking the gondolas. Great location. Nice breakfast included. Room was spacious. Great value
Nice property close to all major attractions. Property has its own dock so you can go to the airport via boat.
Loved how spacious our room was.
Amazing experience staying in this hotel.
.
Our room was facing the Grand Canal with two balconies from french doors. The location is halfway up the canal, with a Vaporetto station a block away and Gondola rentals next to the hotel. Good air conditioning and with buffet breakfast included.
Value for money-highly recommended.
Our Studio Suite had 2 Juliet Balconies overlooking the Grand Canal and Gondola station. The decor was Old World and 550 sq ft. The staff was friendly, served buffet breskfast-it felt like home for a week. Only 23 rooms with good air conditioning. This location as great as you could walk or Vaporetto eithercdirection as it's halfway up the Grand Canal.
Highly recommended.
Front desk Staff: dismissive to the point of being rude. Could not even be bothered to stop chatting on her mobile.
Breakfast: uht juice, instant coffee. Nice fresh fruit salad. Will be going out for breakfast for the rest of our stay.
Room: unstocked mini bar, pathetic shower, carpets loose and patchy in places, Aircon old and ineffective. We will use the fridge to chill our daily water.
Roof terrace: needs a good scrub, tiny. Nice view. Went up once. Will not bother again.
Location: its only selling point
Website says recently refurbished. I suppose recent is a relative term considering the age of the planet!
A totally disappointing and uninspiring hotel.
There is no way this is a 4* hotel. Even 3* would be pushing it. Not worth the money.
Great location!!! Beautiful hotel!!! Adelina at the front desk is very helpful!!!
The customer service was terrible. The front desk said that we need to get an extra bed for my 9yr old daughter because the bed is small. I paid $120 for extra bed for 2nights. I saw the bed and it’s California king size which is good size for us. I canceled the extra bed and I asked for a refund and she said I can’t get my money back and I asked why. And she said it’s a no.
Great location and room. AC was amazing. Staff was so kind!
Forcari Palace hotel was an excellent choice for several reasons. 1st was location - far enough from the main tourist stops to be quiet for sleeping but close enough for getting to those sights for convenience. 2nd it is located very close to a gondola express to cross the Grand Canal as well as close to the water bus stop. This ease of jumping on either to go somewhere was great. Then you get to the property itself. The building is in excellent condition and very well appointed. Good size rooms and bath accommodation. They also have a deck to watch the Grand Canal at water level and a rooftop patio for great views of the surrounding area. I highly recommend this place for travelers.
Great one-time palace on the Grand Canal. Astounding Grand Canal views on canal-facing rooms. Both of our rooms were brilliant with large comfortable beds and palatial bathrooms.
The staff was so accommodating
We like the location, the room is descent. Our main complaint is that the front desk person was quite rude when we checked in.
Everything was good, check in was very quick. Breakfast was very nice.
Room was quite big and clean, bed very comfortable.
Staff very friendly
Highly recommend it
Location is great , rooms ok but staff not so good. We were booked for 4 days then heading to Ravenna to get on a cruise. There was a National transportation strike so the only way we could get to the cruise ship was to leave a day early. Spoke to the staff who couldn’t understand what we were talking about. They didn’t even know about the strike, couldn’t see the manager till the next morning . He kept stating it was a no cancellation booking which it was but because of the circumstances we thought he coul see we weren’t cancelling on a whim. Hotels. Com thought it reasonable too and went in to bat for us , but to no avail. So there goes 250 euros down the drain. Loved Venice but this soured the trip.
