Hotel Lion Sofia

Loved staying here, the Hotel Lion (by Lion Bridge) is in a great position and there is a Metro station right outside! Transfer from the airport via the metro was really easy and cheap. Technically Lavov Most metro station is right outside the hotel and when you come from the airport you would change lines at Serdika station. However, Serdika station is only a short walk from the hotel so you can get off there and walk. Around the area are plenty of shops, the Lidl was really handy for snacks. There is a free breakfast at the Cafe 1920 this place is epic and while the breakfast menu is limited the food choice is fantastic and tastes amazing! I had lunch there on my last day and the food and cocktails were epic. The hotel was nice and comfortable with nice sized rooms. I had to ask for a plug for the bath, don't know if that was just my room or a way of encouraging people to shower. WiFi was non-existent during my whole stay. If this is important to you then you will be very disappointed unless you are happy paying to roam. I was on a business trip and it was very frustrating as I didn't know where to find a trustworthy signal, fortunately Cafe 1920 was there to help. Last one was check out, as I wanted to see a little of Sofia before my flight I enquired about leaving my bags. This is possible in on a shelf behind the Cafe kitchens. It may be fine, but I prefer somewhere with a locked door. I thoroughly enjoyed Sofia and would definitely go back. The historic sites were interesting and it felt safe as a city. This said the area does have some tacky outlets and the central railway station looked a bit grim.

Luckily, we only booked for two days. It's a structure that has very little to offer in terms of services, including heating. For me, it's not a 3 star hotel.

Amplitud de la habitación. El desayuno incluido en el bar de abajo es una barbaridad!!! Abundante comida y muy buena toda.

Personal muy amable, pedimos desayuno para el día siguiente porque salimos pronto a la estación, y cuando llegamos por tarde nos lo tenían preparado

Close to the city center & walkable distance to places of interest. Tram & train station just at the front of the hotel. Good breakfast.

It’s our second time staying here. Extra large beds, large rooms, central location and a great breakfast. No wonder we keep coming back.

Me alojé en el Hotel Lion Sofia y la experiencia fue buena. La ubicación es excelente, a pocos minutos del centro y con el metro justo enfrente, lo que facilita mucho moverse por la ciudad. Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas, y el hotel cuenta con ascensor, algo que se agradece si llevas equipaje. El desayuno se sirve en un local contiguo, muy agradable y con opciones suficientes para empezar bien el día. En cuanto a la limpieza, todo estaba impecable durante mi estancia. En conjunto, una opción muy recomendable por su relación calidad-precio y su comodidad.

It was very centrally located with public transport just outside the hotel. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

The room was spacious, looked clean, the restaurant next to it had good breakfast, close to center we walked everywhere
