Pros:

Sadly I cannot recommend this hotel and will never go back to this hotel or any other hotel in the Alua chain. A holiday ruined.

Pros:

beautiful hotel food staff were very helpful and friendly. the food was also good lots of options and all tasty especially the fresh grilled meats and fish.
the pool area very clean not to busy.
i had a suite it was very spacious and modern.
only thing for me personally was it was too quiet no atmosphere mainly aimed for the other older generation.
hill is a killer when walking up but taxi back from town only €6.

Sensitive nose? Avoid this hotel.
Pros:

Don't use hotel if you like nice food. This hotel serves bland and overcooked food. The drainage system is rank the rooms stink and when sitting by the pool you get the occasional overpower stench from the drains.

Would not recommend!!
Pros:

I found this hotel to be poor both in quality and delivery i.e I found the food very basic with the desserts all tasting the same with a chemically taste and the same night after night. The main courses were limited and their show style cooking was poor and basic i.e burgers which were barely ccoked.
The Spanish staff portray an obvious dislike to the British even when you try and speak their language. We booked all inclusive and half of the items I.e cocktails are not included. We also booked my favourite club which is basically a waste of money as you don't really get any different service. The hotel is situated up a steep hill 15 to 20 minutes from the centre where there are alot of good hotels right next to the sea and where I would stay on my next visit to Puerto de ls cruz. I certainly wouldn't recommend this Hotel and having stayed here I wouldn't recommend Hyatt hotels or any of their Hotels in their group if this one is anything to go by.

Nice hotel excellent staff
Pros:

Ist impression on arrival was it’s a bit out of the way and on a very steep hill, only a 15 minute walk into town but a taxi back, they do hotel shuttle service but not on Saturday or Sunday the 2 nights we stayed, hotel reception were excellent special mention to Gabriella who was very helpful with my requests.
We found the bed very firm so asked for a mattress topper which was delivered and set up within minutes, we had a sea view suite at a very reasonable rate but wish we’d of chosen a Mountain View as that’s the side that gets the sun so if you like sitting on your balcony in the sun go for a Mountain View if you prefer the shade get the sea view as we were only there for 2 nights we didn’t bother to ask to change, but I’m sure they would of arranged this if we asked.
Breakfast was very busy on both mornings we had favourites club so you get your own section but on both mornings there were other guests using the area, staff did point out o them that they were in wrong section but were let to stay. There are signs pointing out the the tables are reserved for favourites club guests but ignored very often.
The Orange juice included with the breakfast is probably the worst OJ I’ve ever had in a Spanish hotel. You can get a proper OJ for €3 which is very nice.
There is a egg and omelette station but on 3 occasions I tried getting over easy fried eggs but couldn’t get it across to the staff properly not their fault mine I know, I should of used my google translator.
We didn’t use other eating options so can’t comment,
We did use the bar which was very nice with reasonable prices, we only used it one night and only had 3 drinks between us but on check out there were an extra 8 wines on our bill, so something obviously went wrong or someone else was putting drinks on our room once we left. Hotel staff were excellent once again and charged for our drinks.
Staff sorted our transfer to Costa Adeje at a very reasonable Taxi cost.
Thanks again for a very comfortable stay

November solo trip
Pros:

So I’ve just retuned from this hotel. Be warned it’s on a very steep hill. The beach is a 10 minute walk from here. The main town centre is a good 1.5km walk. So be wary when booking. The food isn’t great either. It’s more aimed at German based holiday makers. Breakfast was okay. The room I couldn’t fault I had a teide view. Room was clean and spacious couldn’t fault that. I didn’t really spend much time around the pool. In all Puerto de la Cruz is much quieter than the south of the island.

A Relaxing Week in the Sun
Pros:

We stayed in this hotel in November. There were so many mixed reviews before I went that I wasn't sure what to expect. The room we were allocated was on the 5th floor with a sea view. The view is more interesting than beautiful but we were happy with it. I would recommend a room on the 5th floor upwards. The room below us looked onto a wall and lower floors are in a separate block. Our room was spacious, modern and kept very clean. At home I sleep badly but I had a good nights sleep all week. We both loved the firmness of the bed.

Food was a mixed bag. Good for traditional dishes and grilled meats and fish. Not so good for foods on themed nights, such as the oriental night. Drinks were ok, wine and beer quite good. We were all inclusive and branded drinks were not included. As part of the package we went to the a la cart which was a diasppointment. No menu just asked what wine we wanted and whether we wanted a main of fish or meat. A shame really becsuse if we had a good experience we may have gone back as paying customers.

The Entertainment Team work really hard but the nightly entertainment wasn"t great. We did enjoy the Two Tenors.

The hotel is located on a hill and a little out of town. This didn't bother us. To make it a little easier take the lifts down to the first floor or come out of the hotel turn left and follow the path that crosses the hill. The good thing about being on the hill is the views of Mount Teide. Personally I wouldn't like be in the centre of the resort.

When we visited there were vey few Brits the majority of holiday makers being German and Deutch. Which was absolutely fine and the vibe was good.

There are changes to this hotel which could have made our stay better. However we still had relaxing and enjoyable week in the sun.

Good not great.
Pros:

Lovely hotel in an decent location, would recommend a room on the upper floors. Pool area small but fine. Majority of staff pretty rude, treat all inclusive like 2nd class citizens, you get a free meal at the restaurant which is not up to much. Food main buffet pretty good. Rooms clean but maids dont change sheets daily. Weird pool menu with about 3 AI meals the rest have to be paid for which are supremely better than the AI ones. Barmen at pool with glasses is rude. Value for money isn't greatest considering. Entertainment mediocre at best. Atmosphere chill.

Wouldn't return or Recommend
Pros:

Hotel is situated up a steep hill around 15 minutes walk to the main town.
Stayed all-inclusive my favourite club.
The club is a waste of money. You share the same sunbeds as normal paying guests and when you dine you have a reserved area which is the worst spot in the dining room. There is an executive lounge which has absolutely no atmosphere and serves the same food daily. The hotel itself has a reasonable bar but we found the food to of poor quality and the waiting staff in general ignorant and unhelpful. I.e I had a chicken burger for lunch and it was basically the worst burger ever, literally scrag ends of chicken put together and served undercooked + as I said the waiters unhelpful if you ask them anything I.e have you any muesli or oats answer No, basically items not available for breakfast + all their puddings taste the same and have an artificial taste. I could go on and on but I think you've got the jist!!

Not a 4 star hotel
Pros:

Location - the hotel is located up a steep hill, but you can access the hotel part way up the hill, I would not recommend the hotel though for people that struggled with mobility. 20 minute walk to Loro Park and 15 minute walk to the town centre. Also, there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel that runs to the town centre every hour from outside the hotel and takes you back to the hotel which is handy for those who do not wish to walk into town.

Atmosphere - travelled from the UK and the majority of the guests were from Germany. The hotel tried to upsell, such as fresh orange for breakfast (3 euros) and was not part of all inclusive, same with branded alcohol drinks. This also applied to ‘snacks’ at the pool bar, only handful of items were included and I had to pay for other items from the menu, so not everything is included in the ‘all inclusive’ package. On a few occasions there appeared to be a smell of drains, although I do not think this was the hotel because I could smell this outside the hotel too.

Rooms - stayed in a standard suite which was a large room, separate lounge and bedroom, good size room, value for money. The room needed a little work because it looked a little tired, primarily paint peeling from doors and unclean skirting boards / curtains. Large bed which appeared to be two double beds placed together, if you like a very firm mattress this would be suitable for you.

Restaurant - buffet area, depending on the time you went there were long queues for breakfast and dinner, if other guests did not have cutlery I experienced mine being taken from other guests when I was collecting my food, and I could not find replacements. Food choices were okay but because the plates were cold the food did not stay warm for long. The only time the buffet area was quiet was during lunch. It felt like a military procedure when trying to get food and not a relaxing experience.

Noise level - very quiet throughout the night, only exception was occasional traffic outside the hotel which I could hear in the bedroom but this was only during the day and not at night.

Winter Break in the Sun
Pros:

It was lovely a bit out of the way lovely mountain side views from pool and sea views very quiet too, a bit away from the main square but took a walk in the day it is steep, though a taxi is about €5. Food in the town is superb as well. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere. Everyone pleasant and smiled. I think it is Victoria or Veronica on reception very pleasant. Rooms are spectacular, spacious, clean and a lovely sea view. They left us a lovely sweet bottle of wine which we enjoyed on the cloudy day looking over watching the sea. My Favourite Club is worth having and is relaxing I wished they had a larger court room to enjoy the sun having a cuppa. I enjoyed my peppermint tea with sweets, biscuits were in there one day, my husband a beer, they had everything else even desserts. We met some lovely people in there and around the pool. The food was really flavoursome in the restaurant, some thought it was a bit cold I think this was due to hot plates not been high enough, but I had fab omelette made by Angelica who helped with my Spanish and two others a young girl and boy which I cannot be sure of their names, breakfast was fab, the bread fab too and cheeses etc they had everything, I enjoyed the salads and hot plate, desserts plenty of and lunch was very good too. Staff all very pleasant and superb, in particular, I want to shout out Dhalia who loved her job and loved meeting people did everything and sung along the way. Jamie most pleasant we enjoyed his chats, Franci, Janet, Carlos, Senior George all excellent workers but to be fair all staff worked very hard, it was so clean too. Ana Animation Team was brilliant at getting everyone to join in and also another lady but she did not have a name tag. The one thing I missed was the gym and you could not get any kind of beauty treatment which is a must for me and I did not want to walk down to the sister hotel (though lots went to the gym
there) to make a booking and go again at a later time, so that was disappointing as most people want some form of massage or nail treatment on holiday and it is not so easy to when you have to go to another hotel. This may be because it was late in the season.

Very happy to leave this place and go home.
Pros:

600 euros worth of items stolen from the room, just to be told that there was nothing that could be done, we even had the DND on the door, just for housekeeping to ignore it and walk in anyway.

Nice hotel. Good view.
Pros:

This is a nice hotel with friendly, professional staff. There is no charge for Wi-Fi or room safe.
The food was ok, but I would not say it is not 4 star in choice or quality and we are not fussy people.
This hotel is located on a steep hill which is quite a hard return walk. Although I understand there is a regular bus service to the town, which is a nice place to visit.
The views are good, it is set in a valley into which the clouds drop below the mountains. The entertainment lady - Anita- is very cheerful and enthusiastic.
I would say we enjoyed our holiday, but if you want to explore it would be difficult if you had mobility problems.

A very nice experience
Pros:

The hotel is very well maintained, the rooms are very spacious, clean, equipped with two TVs, tea kettle, coffee maker. On the table we were waiting for a bottle of wine and a personalized letter from the manager, which made me very happy. The hotel is located in Puerto de la Cruz (20 minutes from Loro Park), in a quiet area, for adults only. In the evening, fun activities were held in the hotel lobby. It has two large swimming pools. The food is very good and diverse, for all tastes.

Relaxing Stay
Pros:

Hotel was a great stay! Staff were extremely helpful, room was great size exceptionally clean and comfortable. Plenty of different food choices and lots of drinks to suit everyone's tastes. Evening entertainment was a bit of a let down, however hoste Ana made up for this with her fun, bubbly energy to pick everyone's spirits up. Ana was the loveliest soul around the hotel whether that was with evening entertainment or getting you involved with day time activities. She was great! Over all the stay was great and I would 100% go back.

Disappointing
Pros:

Although the hotel was clean for an adults only hotel it left a lot to be desired. Food luke warm, drinks on AI stopped at 11 when bar open until midnight. Pool bar closed during lunch time unless you were a paying customer. Not everyone wants to go into the buffet for lunch. Lack of entertainment during the day and evening entertainment was awful. Will not be staying this side of the Island in the future.

Wonderful experience from start to finish
Pros:

This hotel was probably one of the nicest and friendliest I’ve stayed in for a good while. It was clean staff where friendly and always spoke or acknowledged you in corridors or restaurant they gave mea lovely bottle of sparkling wine on my birthday even though we hadn’t told them which was a wonderful thought. Would go back without hesitation

Very average
Pros:

The location is up a hill but there is a bus laid on throughout the day. Rooms are average no where to hang wet towels or swimsuits. One bedroom are ok but only one sofa bit of a tight squeeze for two.food was below average, cold, tasteless, ok if you like salad. Hotel is Very clean. We were on the 8th floor neer the entertainment wich could be quite noisy but did finish at 11pm. Pool area was very small but we did manage to get sunbeds. Most of the staff were ok some can be a little bit rude. We had to have a couple of repairs to the room on arrival wich we're delt with very quickly. Overall a very average holiday we were there for 22 nights would prefer a little extra comfort for a stay that long.

Pros:

Lovely place , great views . Little gem
Pros:

After travelling for an hour from the airport, checking in was quick and smooth, and the lady who checked us in was friendly.
Our room was spotless and spacious and had everything we needed coffee making facilities, a small fridge, and a huge, very comfortable bed .. The bathroom had a large walkin shower which was powerful. The hairdryer was in the bathroom but it was a great hairdryer not like what is normally provided. We had a separate lounge area which was great and had a sofa and a decent size desk which I used as a dressing table
Our towels were swapped on regular basis and bed made up every day . They swap the sheets to if required.
On arrival a large bottle of water is placed in your room if you want more you have to go to reception for it. The tea and coffee making sachets are left daily but they don't leave milk this didn't bother us as we always take our favourite sachets with us .
Food is amazing in the main restaurant which is buffet and had some show cooking fish and pork and chicken and steaks . The buffet is varied and plenty of choice. Everything is labelled for dietary requirements with different symbols which is easy to understand . As I needed gluten-free bread etc I had to ask and they get you a selection of products from bread , biscuits and cake etc.
The pool snack bar is a selection of things which is made to order but not everything is available on the all-inclusive
Everywhere is spotless and clean
The pool area is like most places they say please don't reserve sunbeds but this still happens.
The aqua bar in the lobby is an amazing place with some outside seating and plenty of seating inside
A great selection of drinks and cocktails and beers , coffees etc .plenty to choose from on the all-inclusive but some of the more popular cocktails are to be paid for.
Also gluten-free beer because its a bottled beer it came under specialist beers and therfore came with a price which is a shame because I would have had a glass of beer in the sunshine if I could have without being penalised. The staff are friendly and professional and always happy to help
Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely return.
