Excellent location. The hotel is exactly what you need to walk around Granada's center. You can reach any point from it. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the hotel had everything I needed for a 5-day solo trip. The staff was very welcoming as well. Would stay here again.
I got a room with windows that faced an indoor alley, and I could hear people walking up and down the stairs at night, which was a bit scary sometimes.
Bequeme Betten.
Location with a room and view of the sea.
Comfortable bed, linens, bathroom.
The hot water kettle almost scalded my hand when I picked it up from its stand. Somehow steam escaped from near the handle!
A great central location, easy to get to, but not noisy. The taxi from the coach station was less than 10 euros. There was a rank close to the hotel for the return. The Superior Mauror room (107) was fairly spacious and very quiet, looking out at a cliff wall, even with the windows open. The street was pedestrianised. Two filtered water bottles were provided each day. The roof top terrace was very pleasant. In the summer it would be very nice to eat up there in the evening.
Nothing that offset the positives, but as ever room for improvement. The breakfast was OK for 15 euros, disappointing on one day when the range on offer was fairly limited, better on the other day. I would suggest that fresh unsweetened yoghurt, and a range of nuts and seeds be added. The bathroom needed a bit of maintenance. The pedal for the bin didn’t work; the grouting had some ingrained mould along a few edges (very common in most places we stay); and the shower head had a missing spray tip. The air con was difficult to understand and did not seem to engage (we just opened the windows). All relatively minor things.
The hotel suited us very well, ticking our main boxes of central location, easy to get to, but not noisy. The taxi from the rank at the coach station was less than 10 euros, as was the return from the rank a few minutes downhill from the hotel.
We paid a little extra for one of the larger Superior Mauror rooms (we were given 107), both for the space and to ensure it would be particularly quiet, which it was, looking out at a cliff wall. We even had the windows open with no noise. Others rooms are probably also fairly quiet as the street was pedestrianised and on the edge of the town, with few walking at night.
There was a mini-fridge, kettle and safe. Two filtered water bottles were provided each day. We had two single beds beside each other, which was OK.
We didn’t pay for the breakfast in advance as it was 15 euros each. In the event we used it on the first and third days, partly because of convenience and as it was fair, but not great value. They did have reasonable fresh fruit available, but overall the range of items wasn’t great, eg no seeds. The first day range of items was particularly disappointing, with only one hot food container being used, and no fresh or even unsweetened yoghurt. That was probably because of low numbers staying – the final day was much better, with the second hot food container being used, and a few non-sugared yoghurts (though not fresh). The basement room didn’t have a particularly great atmosphere. Providing fresh yoghurt and a range of seeds and nuts would be something that could be done relatively easily and would make a big difference.
We used the roof top terrace twice – it was very pleasant. A late afternoon drink and a coffee. It closed at 6pm, which seemed rather early for late March, but would have been cold a bit later. In the summer it would be very nice to eat up there (the video in the lift suggests they have it open then, sometimes with music). The information on when it was open could have been a bit clearer (online it seemed to suggest the restaurant which is called Alarique was bookable in the evening). It also wasn’t very clear what the downstairs bar offered in terms of food.
There were a few other things that might have been better, but all were relatively minor, given what we paid. As noted the information on the restaurant and café wasn’t very clear. The air con was difficult to understand and did not seem to engage, perhaps because of the time of year. We just opened the windows. And the TV did have rather limited local channels (I had hoped to watch a football world cup playoff game).
The location is convenient.
We booked the “chic room with patio.” *Do not* book this type of room. The rooms are exceptionally dark, small, and two of the four rooms of this type have very small patios (not like what’s shown in the picture), and the patios are generally unpleasant to hang out on.
Location was perfect for touring the key attractions but set back enough to be quiet at night.
Slight noise from lifts and doors closing - but nothing unusual for a hotel.
Great location
Not all staff were helpful. I expect an itemised bill showing all charges, this was not available.
Attached restaurant was excellent and nice too.
We had two rooms, one was very good and the other was not well maintained. The location was great, the staff very friendly. My room was large for a Single room with a small patio and a large bathroom. The other Double room was basically the same size with a smaller bathroom. My room was clean and had everything I needed. I would have given 10/10 if the other room was as immaculate.
One of the rooms was not clean, there were hairs everywhere. Since it was only a short stay we did not complain (I am sure the lovely staff would have done something about it). There was also mold in one of the bathrooms. Only slight, but still it was there.
