€160 a night for a dirty room, chaotic check-in and barely working Wi-Fi

Cons:

We booked a room with one large double bed for a couple, not two separate single beds. Despite this, we were assigned a twin room. We went back to reception and showed our booking confirmation, only to receive a key to another room with exactly the same problem. It took three room assignments and two trips back to reception to finally get the bed we had booked. The receptionist was unpleasant throughout the process.

The room itself was dirty: dusty shelves, cobwebs under the bed, and stains that looked like blood on the rug beside the bed. Finding this after paying €160 per night was disgusting.

Breakfast offered a very limited selection of food, which was disappointing for a hotel charging this much.

The Wi-Fi deserves a special mention: like Schrödinger’s cat, it seemed to exist and not exist at the same time. The signal was weak, and the connection was extremely unreliable, especially in the evenings. If you need to work remotely, I would strongly advise against staying here.

We also felt unsafe in the immediate area around the hotel near the station. There was a strong smell of urine outside, and we witnessed men fighting just a few metres from the entrance. Walking back to the hotel was an uncomfortable experience.

At €160 per night, even after a Booking.com discount, this was terrible value for money. The cleanliness, service, breakfast and internet connection fell far below what we expected. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.

Es war vom Preis zu Messezeit OK
Pros:

Das Frühstück war OK. Es gab von Allem genug. 2 bis 3 Sorten Käse, Wurst, Marmelade, Eier, Würstchen. Immer schnell nachgeliefert, wenn etwas ausging. Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und Betten bequem. Die Lage ist im Zentrum am Bahnhof und nah zu Museen.

Cons:

Die Lage ist zwar im Zentrum am Busbahnhof und nah zu Museen, aber es ist ein mittelmäßiges, etwas älteres Busfahrerhotel. Und die umliegenden Straßen sind belagert von Bettlern.
