Golden Horn Hotel - Special Class

We stayed for 4 nights and our experience was wonderful. Different breakfast items every day. Room was nice too. I would stay here again.

I have wonderful experience in the Hotel. I particularly love the wondeful service of the Food and Beverage Manager Mr Seckin KAYA. His warmth and friendliness make my stay at the hotel most memorable.

I will sure to comeback to the stay at the hotel for that.

A perfect stay at the Golden Horn Hotel. The facilities are very comfortable, the location is excellent, and the atmosphere is truly pleasant. But what really made the difference was the exceptional service from Seckin Kaya, Food & Beverage Manager. He was an outstanding host—attentive, professional, and always willing to provide the best service. Thanks to him, our experience was even more special. Five well-deserved stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely hotel . Clean well appointed rooms … a bit small and dated but quaint. Suited us for a 4 night stay in a great central position . Breakfast ok . Nice helpful staff especially Seckin Kaya. Beware of the food outlets outside at the back of the grand bazaar… we were royally ripped off £25 1 kebab and £8 for a can of beer. Always check prices before ordering. Lesson learnt!

The hotel is located very close to main attractions as well as metro station and tram station. Breakfast is very good. Staff was very helpful, especially Mr. Seckin Kaya, who personally presented us with authentic service of turkish coffee in the morning. All of the staff was very attentive with information about the city, luggage, parking, cleaning, etc. Everything was delightful. Absolutely recommend the place!

This is a great hotel in the heart of the historic old town. Our room was clean, quiet, and perfect for us. The housekeeping staff on the third floor- I didn't catch her name -was the kindest and so helpful when my husband wasn't feeling well. And the breakfast manager, Seckin Kaya and his staff were wonderful--so attentive and warm--providing excellent service even packing a breakfast box for our early a.m. flight. We felt right at home from the start and will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located in the heart of old Istanbul. They have great breakfasts with the breakfast crew always on hand to ensure you have plenty to eat. The hotel has a groovy old world bcharm with lots of gold decorations to match the golden horn name. The owner is always on hand in the lobby to greet you and make sure everything you need is available.

This was a lovely friendly hotel in a great location.
Very clean and the buffet breakfast was one of the best we had in Turkiye.

Twin room was very small. Bathroom door didn’t close properly.

Hotel ıs located near all sıtıes. hotel staff and breakfast was brilliant but the hotel ı would not recommend no sound proof ın windows walls or door you can hear people from other rooms tvs etc hotel ıs dated not even a 1 star

Hi this is a one star hotel with a good breakfast. Don't be tempted to book. There is virtually zero noise reduction between rooms landing and floors.
The place is not very clean furniture is old and place needs some type of remodelling.
Just because it may feel good value ignore what other users have said.

Seems to be mainly used by group bookings which I assume are not chosing this hotel.

Loved our stay, breakfast was good with a nice variety, Seckin and Hagri were exceptional hosts! Many thanks to them. The staff were all amazing and full of smiles. The hotel rooms were clean and comfy. The location was great , close to everything.

Great location, very clean and confortable room, amazing shower, totally renovated bathroom, super friendly staff, especially Mr. Seckin Kaya, food & beverage manager, who manages a very busy breakfast room impeccably.

The service at the hotel was exceptional. Not only were the front desk staff very friendly and helpful but the breakfast dining area service was amazing. Sirkeci, who seemed to be in charge of the breakfast area on most days went above and beyond to greet and communicate with each guest; making sure each guest was happy, satisfied and that any special need was met. His personality was so warm and friendly - he really made every breakfast very enjoyable. (He was especially amazing with families and young children.).

Very good location, accessible with ease, cozy atmosphere, clean rooms, good and quick room service, although had slight outside noise of trucks.

The Golden Horn Hotel is in a perfect location, right in the historical center of Istanbul. It is only a short walk to Hagia Sophia, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque), Topkapi Palace, Hammam Sultan and Egyptian bazar. The hotel is also very convenient for transportation—close to the Marmaray Metro Station and the tram line, making it easy to explore other parts of the city.

The atmosphere of the hotel is warm and welcoming, and the whole place is very clean and well maintained. The reception team is truly wonderful—always kind, cooperative, and ready to help.

The restaurant and breakfast are another highlight. The buffet has a wide variety of delicious options, and the place itself is very enjoyable to eat in. A special thanks to Mr. Seçkin and Mr. Hayreddin at the restaurant during breakfast—they were wonderful, always attentive, and made the experience even better.

The service is excellent. A special mention goes to Aynor madam, who was very lovely and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. She introduced a server for us whenever we wanted something, which made us feel very well taken care of.

Overall, the Golden Horn Hotel offers not just a great location, but also genuine hospitality and wonderful service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.
