COMPLETELY DELIGHTED WITH OUR STAY AT THE ALPENBLICK HOTEL.
We cannot find any complaints in any departments. The food was outstanding as were the staff and cleanliness of this Alpine paradise. We would recommend to all our friends.
good food friendly service comfortable rooms some information re bus times to and from the station would be helpful Its quite a hike on foot after a tiring day
We were on a train holiday and the hotel was a 10 minute walk from the station. The hotel was a classic large Swiss chalet on varying levels, all of wood with an annexe across a single track cul-de-sac quiet road on the edge of the village, making for a very peaceful atmosphere. Our room was a reasonable size, ensuite with wood floors. As with everything in Switzerland, everything was spotless. We were on a group holiday with 37 of us and the value, when taking in all the amazing places we visited, made it good value. There are two restaurants, one of which is on the first floor, which was quite cramped, possibly because of the size of our group. The main restaurant, on the ground floor was much larger. The service was quite disorganised, not that it spoilt it for us.
Hotel Alpenblick is a home from home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is lovely and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
A lovely, traditional style old hotel with excellent, friendly service and great food. And within ten minutes walk of the railway station at Wilderswil offering easy access to various places to visit.
Nice old fashioned building ,shame you couldn’t put the heat on in the room and bathroom and toilet were to small .staff give us food and clean rooms were great
What a difference to have a family run hotel rather than a chain. Customer service was excellent.
The food was exceptional.
The standard of cleanliness couldn't be faulted.
First class hotel spotless clean and comfortable and the staff were efficient and friendly definitely go again. Recommend
I was leading a group of thirty to the Swiss Alps and the service and welcome we received at the Alpenblick was outstanding. Food and drink excellent, the property is full of alpine character. The staff were all very attentive and professional.
This beautiful hotel is full of character and history. It’s just a short, flat walk from Wilderswil station, ideally located for all the main day excursions. The Schynige Platte railway departs from Wilderswil station, which is especially convenient.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The meals were outstanding – breakfast offered an excellent variety of fresh, tasty options, and the evening meals were top quality. We were even provided with picnic lunches featuring healthy food, such as fresh apples and pears from the September harvest.
Our room was clean and well equipped, with a powerful shower and a very comfortable bed. I enjoyed sleeping with the window open and hearing the gentle sound of the fountains as I drifted off.
All in all, it was an amazing week organised by Great Rail Journeys, and I would thoroughly recommend the Hotel Alpenblick.
Our stay at Hotel Alphen was superb in every way, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were well equipped, spotlessly clean and we enjoyed a balcony and lovely views of the mountains. The menu was varied and of a very high standard. the hotel had a lovely atmosphere and we would recommend it as the perfect hotel to spend time in Switzerland.
Very atmospheric location and convenient base for exploring the Jungfrau region. Great food and friendly service - also a Michelin starred restaurant on the ground floor if you fancy a special meal. Authentic decor and comfortable beds, very clean room, and we were impressed with the range of British TV channels. Generally very quiet and relaxing ambience. Rooms a little tight on space, and tea making facilities would have been welcome. Would love to stay again.
My husband and myself really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alpenblick. We liked that it was a niche hotel rather than a big international group hotel. The hotel was charming both inside and out. We also loved the 5 course meals every night which were of a high quality and made on the premises. Hotel was well located for lots of excursions.
We did not book this hotel directly ourselves but were part of a tour group of 39 people.
Perfectly perfect in every way. Quiet location in such a pretty village that was a world away from real life back home making a stay here a real tonic
Traditional alpine hotel. Our room was spotless and had modern facilities including Swiss and European sockets plus phone charging ports. We were on the top floor at front of hotel which had magnificent views of the mountains. It was up 3 flights of stairs which didn't bother us but would be difficult if mobility is a problem to someone
Staff friendly attentive and helpful. Breakfast good as enjoyed the different museli bread and cheeses. We had picnic lunches which were more than adequate. Evening meals were great as we are vegetarian and were looked after well. Also wine/beer/soft drinks included and they were very generous with them
In a very quiet village with lovely walks all around. 10 minutes to rail station with frequent access to everywhere around. Also a bus (105) stops just around the corner
Definitely recommend
Hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Wilderwil, an easy, 10minute walk from the station. From the station you can go up the valley to Kleine Sheidegg, and on to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald, or to Interlaken the other direction. Trains are frequent thoughout the day, in both directions.
The hotel is built in the classic, Alpine, wooden style. with a very pleasant terrace outside the front of the hotel ; perfect for a drink at the end of the day.
The staff were always extremely helpful........ nothing too much trouble.
The food was excellent........ with a packed lunch being supplied every day.
The room was immaculately clean, and well equipped.
We stayed here with Great Rail Journeys as part of an escorted tour. The hotel is a traditional Swiss chalet located in a pretty village with good rail connections for excursions. The rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent.
Very well located. Typical 3 star Alpine hotel. Clean and comfortable. Request an updated room as some are a little tired. If you book as a group trip please be mindful you don’t eat in the main restaurant and the food is a set menu with 2 options, meat or vegetarian. The food is good, just a bit restricted. Ours included wine and beer with evening meal and this was more than acceptable and in a good supply. Staff are lovely.
The Alpenblick is a rare find. Family run and traditional in the gorgeous little village of Wilderswil. The food is excellent and the staff ready to make your stay that bit special.
We had a second floor room with beautiful views over snow capped peaks.
Very quiet and peaceful at night time.
A lovely easy walk from the hotel to the brewery ( with beautiful sheep en route).
Food was very good on the whole although breakfast could get a little crowded (although we were part of a group of 34.) House wine was included on our package and they were very generous with refills.
