Tres bon sejour,
They room, the diner and everything around was amazing. Unfortunately the team is not familiar with wearing nasty masks.
We konden blijven eten. Voelde me echt slecht behandeld.
The hotel boasted pictures online of beautiful, nice rooms but we did not get what we expected. Because we opted for a more cost effective room, we were put in a small cell of a space outside the main castle which felt neither charming or friendly. The walls were bare and dingy and had holes. There were no windows or air conditioning units so we had to sleep with our door open to get fresh air which made us feel uncomfortable. The bed was two twins shoved together with separate sheets and hard to sleep on. The front desk manager was hell bent on having us dine there and even mislead us to believe there was no other option for food in the area which was not true. The icing on the cake was that he tried to double charge us when we left. Not worth the price and will never stay again.
Lovely grounds and uniquely peaceful are
Loved it!
This was the best night on our trip! The children had so much fun exploring the grounds and our apartment was great. Maybe the best was the wonderful service snd meals. We felt like we were welcomed into the family home.
big rooms, clean, nice and friendly service, a grate parc.
Great place. A castle of our own!
Chateau, parc, piscine MAGNIFIQUES !!
Unfortunately we arrived too late for supper (last orders 8.30pm), but the hotel prepared a delicious fish based salad which was served with Savoie wine in our room. Very comforable stay, a few kilometers from the Frejus tunnel. Wonderfiul breakfast - only Savoie produce. Then a walk in the neautiful grounds before continuing our journey.Staff were very welcoming and very accommodating. A great pit stop.
This is a small, extremely picturesque chateau, and the rooms are superb. The staff were also truly wonderful - extremely welcoming & friendly. The quality of food in the restaurant was also wonderful. The grounds are a delight, including a good-sized swimming pool.
Absolutely superb!
We stayed on a Monday (22nd July) when the restaurant was closed which may explain why we were the only guests in the hotel that night. But this also meant that we had it all to ourselves :-). The pool was very warm and spotless until clouds and wind from an approaching storm blew leaves all over it, which added to the charm. The service was excellent - warm, attentive but not overly so. It's the little things that count like a couple of slices of cake offered with a delicious sparkling rose, or the umbrella brought over 'in case the weather turns' whilst we were enjoying the warmth of the evening by the pool. Our room was kindly upgraded to a duplex level with air con which was not just opulent and high spec but also charming. The grounds were also beautiful (as well as spotless) and the guest book confirmed the high quality of guests and satisfaction enjoyed by all who have stayed.
Our only criticism would be the price of the breakfast. We booked it as there was nowhere else to eat within walking distance, and we wanted a last dip in the pool before checking out. At 25 euros per person, it is a steep price and inevitably we expected a lot - we each had a croissant, a pain au chocolat, a couple of slices of bread with small selection of jams, a small fresh fruit salad, fresh squeezed juice and coffee. Plus a small round local brioche. It was all very tasty but definitely not worth 25 euros.
