Hotel Gul Sultan

The rooms were very clean and had been renovated a year or so ago. The staff were excellent and very helpful. There is no elevator so be prepared for a couple of flights of stairs. We felt very comfortable and would definitely go back! The street is one way and narrow so there was often a lot of tour buses lined up as they dropped tourists headinf to Top Kapi, Hagua Sophia, etc. The great thing is the hotel is very easy walking to all of those sights, and to the tram which we took a number of times. Highly recommend ordering an Istanbul Karte as you will need that for trams, buses, ferries, and toilets! You can use one karte per group.

The Room was very clean, the bathroom was also very clean and big. The reception is very friendly, I can only recommend this hotel, if you like to visit the historical places in Fatih

Very much enjoyed our stay in Istanbul. The front desk was very helpful and the accommodation was nice! Very close to old Istanbul and it was easy to walk everywhere.

We loved the place. It was very clean and good mattress. The shower was great and a lot bigger than the one we had in other places we stayed. It is so close to the two famous mosques and the basilica cisterna and anything else so it is a great spot to explore. You are in the heart of it all. It does get a bit noisy at night as it’s at the end of a busy bar street but the price does reflect this in our opinion. I slept through most of it and ear plugs did wonders. We would stay again for sure. Overall great place for the price we paid.

Very helpful and friendly staff, great central location, just a quick walk to transport, Blue Mosque, Haggia Sofia etc. Restaurants and supermarkets a few steps away. Nice new bathroom, clean and tidy. I was a bit worried before booking as there was a few comments about noise from the street/bars, but it didnt disturbed my sleep (i was low floor facing the street). Would stay again.

The best thing about this hotel was the rooftop terrace. Some chairs and tables on the terrace. Terrace was mostly private and no one else was up there. Stunning view of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, old city wall, and Bosphorus from the terrace. Staff was very friendly. They were able to give us recommendations and call us a taxi. 5-10 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, and also a 5-10 minute walk to the Bosphorus area. The hotel is on a street with a lot of restaurants, shops, and pubs. Very noisy late into the night. The hotel has a lobby and a man in the lobby at all times for service requests and for security. Breakfast is not included but there are restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean. Room had AC unit, a mini fridge, and TV. Bed was just okay.

Excellent service! The staff is amazing. The hotel is located conveniently close to major tourist atractions, such as Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. Many dining options and pick up for tours is highly available. Sometimes the restaurants or pubs within the same street can get loud. But in our case there was only one noisy night but ended relatively quick. In general its a great place, very clean, and friendly.
