Hotel Rotelle

I was lucky to stay here for a couple of days before their grant reopening on Oct. 12th, by their new management team - Chef To To.

The place has a panorama view of Siena, beautiful/classic rooms (mine was the hedgehog room), a big pool and spa facilities.
My room has a balcony that can look out to the green lawn and spectacular mountain view, which was the spot where I had my very first coffee in the mornings.
An event area right beside the pool would serve several hundreds of people.

I have to mention the food and wine here are unbelievable.
A welcoming aperitif and Prosecco served upon my arrival.
Comes after was a light lunch followed by our preference; lots greens (the freshest arugula I ever had), prosciutto plater, pasta soup and homemade gelato.
They also provide a cooking class; unfortunately, I missed it this time. Instead, I was watching Chef To To cooking in the kitchen, that was one of the best dinners ever in my life.
The truffle feast was unbelievably tasty. Homemade truffle Tortellini cooked in truffle oil and truffle butter, slightly sprinkle of truffle salt and lots lots lots black truffle.

The breakfast was terrific, too. Homemade bread, fresh omelet, prosciutto and juice served on the table when we sit down.

The essential element that makes this stay unforgettable was Mr. and Ms. To To. Their warm hospitality gave us a sensational experience. We chat and eat and drink the whole night.

Bye-bye Hotel Rotelle. I’m sure I’ll see you again very soon!

Hotel Rotelle. 我義大利之旅的亮點。
在朋友的安排下，很幸運的在Chef To To 接手飯店後的重新開幕前住了幾天。

座落托斯卡尼的錫耶納附近的山丘，俯瞰山林美景。房間古色古香，還有不同的主題動物小巧思（我的是刺蝟房！）。

很大又乾淨的泳池可以邊游泳邊享受風景的美麗，還有spa設備讓體驗更上一層。
泳池旁是一個可容納上百人的活動場地，白色的佈置好不優雅非常適合舉辦婚禮。

一定要提的是他們的餐點！

剛到飯店就送上清爽的小點和義大利氣泡酒，接著按照我們的喜好準備了午餐。
他們還有做菜教學，我來不及報名但很幸運的在廚房看大廚To To 一顯身手。

他問我喜歡松露嗎？我當然說愛。然後這位先生就在廚房乒乒乓乓的做起來；用松露油和松露奶油煮松露義大利餃，撒上松露鹽調味，最後在削上一片片的黑松露。義大利餃在口中爆開超濃郁的松露味道，此生難忘啊。
早餐也是無敵豐盛，重點是麵包和蛋捲都是現做的，超級可口。

會讓在Hotel Rotelle 的體驗這麼難忘，最主要的原因是新主人 To To 夫婦。
Chef To To 是比利時的名廚，在比利時有一間好口碑餐廳。2018年他們去義大利遊玩時愛上了這塊土地而毅然決定搬來定居。

從他們身上，我看到溫暖善良和對這裡的熱情與愛，還有對滿足顧客的需求和喜好不遺餘力（從為我徹夜做了一個烤箱的烤布蕾可知）。

再會了Hotel Rotelle，再會了可愛的To To 夫婦。

I stayed at Hotel Rotelle this summer based on positive reviews on TripAdvisor and Booking.com and because it mentioned having a spa available gratis to guests. Overall, the stay was ok, but I am disappointed in the communication of the staff particularly after our stay. The room we stayed in (suite 2) was older in style and age, but it was comfortable enough for a couple of nights. I believe it was a nonsmoking room (at least it was advertised as such), yet it smelled a little ashy. Also despite us requesting one, unexpectedly they weren't able to provide a crib (another factor for us selecting this place) for our 8 month old infant because it was broken (they only had one and it was broken?). One thing I did like about the room was that the bathroom was in the entry hallway so we could use the bathroom and not disturb the baby sleeping in the bedroom. (This is a shower only room though, a bath would have been much preferred with the baby.) The restaurant had a nice view and the provided breakfast was excellent. The woman working in the restaurant was very kind and friendly. The spa left more to be desired, there was no natural spring water type spa. Instead it was like a commercial hot tub where the water never got really hot. Throughout our stay we interacted with a gentleman Gabriele, who seemed pleasant enough. However, a few hours after we checked out - upon driving to and arriving in Rome - we realized that we forgot some clothes hanging in the wardrobe. I called without luck and then emailed immediately. I got a quick reply via email from Gabriele saying there would be no problem to send the clothes, however sending them to Rome (<150km away) within 36 hours apparently was risky. We needed these clothes within 5 business days for a wedding in Poland, so we asked them to ship the clothes to Poland and we would pay the shipping. Gabriele said no problem. The clothes never made it to Poland despite email confirmation from Rotelle that they would send it (and it was not sent since no shipping receipt was shared). We then got a second confirmation via a phone call in which my Italian friend spoke directly with Gabriele in Italian. After the wedding (yes, we had to buy new clothes for it), I emailed Hotel Rotelle to send me the clothes to the U.S. repeatedly and all these emails have gone in vain - there have been no responses to these emails. We had an okay stay, but at this point, I would say beware of Rotelle because at least 1 person there is not truthful. I know it was my mistake to leave the clothes there, but when they promise to ship them (at my own expense) and then stop communicating all together, it really negatively affects my impression of this place and my ability to recommend it. Please beware. Or if you stay here and see Gabriele, please ask him to respond to my emails. The clothes weren't particularly fancy or expensive, but they included casual ones that we liked to wear plus a suit and dress we had to replace in time for the wedding in Poland.

Seit vielen Jahren übernachten wir im Hotel ab und zu ausserhalb der high Reisezeit. Meistens sind wir die einzigen Gäste. Was für ein solch tolles Ambiente schade ist. Der dienstleistende Gabriele gab sich beim Frühstück alle Mühe.

Ampia struttura, ricavata da una bellissima casa colonica, dimensionata per grandi occasioni.
Ristorante chiuso in settimana, solo da giovedì a domenica.
Molto fuori mano, segnale telefonico basso e wifi scarso.
Piscina.
Tranquillissimo!

Bagno piccolo e poco funzionale, non ci sono i miscelatori, la biancheria rimane bagnata giorno dopo giorno perché non viene sostituita e non ci sono spazi per farla asciugare. Il dispenser dello shampoo è rimasto vuoto prima dell'ultima doccia.
Per quanto riguarda la camera le luci sono molto basse, mancano piani di appoggio e cassetti per la biancheria.
Arredo in stile, non moderno e funzionale.
La cassaforte era chiusa al nostro arrivo e comunque asportabile, perché non fissata ad un muro o nell'armadio.
Colazione abbastanza normale.
Bella la zona piscina.
Buon parcheggio con rete antigrandine.

Beautiful place in the middle of Tuscany. We had a great time. Highly recommended

Perfect located near Siena. Very beautiful rooms with great view. Excellent Italian food with Toscany wines. This have been the best experience so fare this vacation.

Recommend this for couples on romantic tour.

The hotel is beautiful with quiet, comfortable rooms. The rooms as you enter the hotel look like a large living area in a beautiful home. Outside are acres of green lawn, a large pool, and an events' tent that would hold several hundred people. We visited in May during the week and while the hotel was very quiet the wonderful chef, Giancarlo, cooked us a fabulous dinner. Delicious breakfasts are served every morning with home made pastries. The staff were so warm and welcoming that we almost felt that we were in a private home. It's a short drive into the heart of Siena.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Rotelle. It is in a beautiful setting and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. We sat outside in several of the garden settings and around the pool. There was a huge wedding happening the following day but we were lucky enough to be the only 4 guests and were treated to a multi course meal prepared with such pride by Chef Jean Carlos. The rooms were charming and clean with the same amazing view of the rolling hills of Tuscany. The next morning breakfast out on the front lawn was the perfect send off to our wonderful stay.

We were looking for a hotel just for a night as we were checking into a villa the following day. What a find! This hotel is perfect for a short stay or longer. The rooms were really good, very nicely decorated with comfortable beds and decent air conditioning (in Europe?!).

However, Hotel Rotelle's secret weapon is the restaurant run by (I think) their owner/chef. Incredible food and wonderful service.

The pool is large and has beautiful views all around. In general, it is really quiet and just a great spot for a break. Our only small disappointment was a lack of choice at breakfast. I would always ignore that and say that this is a great hotel.

We needed a hotel between our stay in Tuscany as we were on our way to Umbria, and Hotel Rotelle was recommended to us. We had a bit of a problem finding it, but were not disappointed when we arrived. We only wished the sunflowers had been in bloom because it overlooks those fields. Lovely hotel, nicely appointed room in a quiet location with a good size pool on its grounds. Excellent dinner choices in a comfortable dining room. Lovely staff. Delightful place.

Wir waren 1 Wochen im Rotelle und machten Tagesausflüge nach Siena, Florenz, Assisi etc. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr freundlich und beim Frühstück sind die selbstgemachten Croissants und der fürstliche "Cappucino" hervorzuheben. Der beheizte Pool und der Whirlpool lassen auch jederzeit eine Badetag zu.
Wer einen erholsamen ruhigen Aufenthalt wünscht ist sehr gut aufgehoben.

This hotel is perfect for relax is in really quite zone and is in nice old style. The rooms are all in antic style. the hotel is really small has swimming pool, wirpool and tasty restaurant, All staff are perfestly friendly, nice, and make you feel like home. Sara, receptionist is availeble everytime for give you same help and also Luigy and Giglia(sorry I dont know how does it write) are so friendly and helpfull. I engoy this stay so much and big help is also for this people. Is also nice starting poit for all trip around and visiting the lovely little cities around the hotel.

Posto davvero particolare dove il rustico rende calda e piacevole l'atmosfera che unite alle cortesia e simpatia dello staff rendono piacevole il soggiorno.

Stopped by chance for lunch at this hotel. Food and service was so exceptional, we came back to stay for a night 2 days later. Had such a great experience, came back for two more days later in the week. Arianna, Reception, speaks great English and is so welcoming. Gigliola, the chef, prepared the most amazing pasta, steak and chicken dishes, not to mention the fabulous pastry treats that accompanied our breakfasts. And I can't say enough about Andrea, the waiter. His excellent service and friendliness was beyond compare. We so looked forward to our dinners every night (along with the classical music Andrea provided when he found out we were fans) these meals were the highlite of our whole Tuscany/Italy 3 week adventure. Rooms were very clean and generous sized for Europe and the views of the Tuscan hills were spectacular. Superb value for the money, both for the room, dinners and wonderful wine cellar. Centrally located to Siena, Montelpuciano, Assisi - so a great location for touring, without having to deal with the traffic, parking and schlepping of luggage in the more well-known hill towns. We loved this place so much, and the friendliness of the staff that we just made reservations to go back again for 3 nights. Can't wait to order the Chicken Limone - have already had it 4 times now - but can't stop thinking of it. Christine & Randolph W.

Everything was perfect!! First of all,the hotel is very close to Montepulciano and Pienza,the reason why we travelled. But the most important thing...we love the people working there!!Andrea is the boss..an amazing italian boy,for him you're not only a guest,you're his best friend!! Everytime you need something,Andrea is ready to help you and to answer all your questions. He's very funny fun and charming and thanks to him you can taste the best tuscany wines. Then...Gigliola...wow she's amazing too!!she cleans,cooks and at the same time she has a good time and fun with you.we ate her very good pasta and her homemade dessert and her famous milk-pepper-chicken.when we booked Arianna was very nice friendly and she helped us before our trip. We def recommend this hotel,that 3 guys make the difference,we'll come back as soon as possible. Thank you our new friends.was a pleasure to meet you!! Your David and Lorenza ciao!!!

We were driving to Siena, Italy and, having been on the road for a while .... including stopping to visit wineries along the way, needed a break. On impulse we stopped at Hotel Rotelle, not to stay overnight, but to relax in their restaurant "I Girosoli" where we were greated warmly by the staff, particularly Andrea who provided us with exceptional service and, after our lunch, a tour of the facility.

Don't listen to any negative comments. This place is beautiful and the professional photos do it justice. Like all buildings in the area, constructed of stone but sitting on a hilltop overlooking Tuscany. The seating area along the end of the pool sits overlooking a valley and provides a spectacular view.

The property looks to be very well maintained, and was set up for a wedding party that night with tent, tables, bar setup, etc. Our meals were also exceptional and I've already considered recommending this as a wonderful place for anyone visiting the area.

schönes Wetter, romantische Umgebung und ich konnte mit meinem Fahrrad die Toskana erleben. Meine Frau und ich waren mit dem Fahrrad in Montepulciano. Ein wunderbarer Platz zum verweilen und ausruhen nach 600 Höhenmetern. Toskanischer Rotwein und Speisen aus der Umgebung, sowie viele kleine Gassen machen den Ausflug perfekt.
