I don’t normally write reviews but this hotel is worthy of an exception. It really is a special hotel just a few steps away from the buzz of Corso Umberto I and the heart of Taormina.
The property itself is beautiful and has been sensitively converted from a grand private residence into a lovely small hotel but honestly it’s the staff who make the place so special. We were welcomed like family (and handed a glass of Prosecco at check-in) and then treated like honoured guests by everyone we interacted with but especially so by Nino, xx and yy.
Our room was on the top floor of the main building, honestly it was fairly small but with a good sized bathroom and had a small balcony with a view of both the sea and Mount Etna looming over the rooftops of Taormina. Everything about the room was well thought out to maximise the space and we had a very comfortable 3 night stay.
We were travelling around Sicily and did have a hire car and so had to drive to the hotel, but we followed the instructions we had received by WhatsApp before we arrived and it all went very smoothly. We didn’t need the car again until after we’d checked out.
We loved the local products used for breakfast, much of which comes from either local suppliers - like the bread, hams, cheeses, jams and honey - or is made in their kitchen. They will also whip you up eggs of your choosing on request.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location, but what makes the experience really special is the amazing staff. Everyone has been incredibly accommodating, helpful and friendly, and we appreciated the attention to detail throughout the stay.
Loved everything. Location was the best. Just off the Main Street so it was quiet but steps from everything.
From the moment we arrived we wete welcomed like family, offered breakfast as they organised our room for early check in.
The hotel was loveky, with beautiful gardens and pool. The views in the garden and bar were fabulous. My only issue, which was a very small one, was hot water in shower wasn't as hot as i like it. But considering it was summer with 35•c outside, it was fine. Breakfast was wonferful everyday, with little cooked surprises, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh cheese cold meats, breads, pancakes and pastries. They also make eggs however you like. We would definitely stay here again

After a white knuckle drive to get to the town center of Taormina (Welcome to Taormina!), we finally were able to relax and quickly settle in once we checked in to Hotel Villa Taormina. What an amazing gem of a property! This boutique hotel is located in an extremely convenient location in Taormina. It's a fully restored villa with approximately 15–20 rooms, and absolutely gorgeous. It's family run and the staff was more than welcoming and friendly. They really made us feel at home and almost part of the family. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and cozy. The views from the pool deck and bar are spectacular with amazing views of the sea and Mt. Etna. I am already planning my next visit to Taormina and will undoubtedly stay at Hotel Villa Taormina.
When arriving had a warm welcome with an overall review of the property offerings, as well as dinner recommendations and reservations, area attractions. Breakfast had many delicious offerings, plus GF options.
Everything was perfect. Beautiful property, excellent hospitality.
