Pros:

This was the first of two stays there in the Spring of 2025. Lovely old building right in the middle of the Altstadt of Freiburg. Nice room and excellent breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much we returned for a second stay a week or so later.

Pros:

We love this hotel. Stated there twice during a trip through the Black Forest. Staff could not be nicer, and the second stay was in an upgraded suite where I’d be happy living. You also couldn’t ask for a better location in Freiburg.

Great old hotel in heart of Altstadt
Pros:

A comfortable and friendly place right next to Marktplatz in Freiburg Altstadt. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The neighbourhood was quiet at night, but there was a fair bit of noise from about 7 am as shopkeepers started to set up market stalls. The area was a delight to walk through, and it was also wonderful to see how many people arrived and departed on the frequent trams that travelled along the narrow streets.

Every morning on the plaza is a delightful market, going all around the Munster.
Couldn't have chosen a better location.
Since we arrived on a slow Wednesday, we were upgraded to a suite !!
Staff is charming and helpful. Nice breakfast

A fantastic hotel located at the church square of the old town. We arrived at night and had a pleasant surprise that we were upgraded to stay in a suite with no extra expenses. All made my wife and me enjoy beautiful Freiburg immensely.

Pros:

Freundlicher Service in zentralem Hotel in historischem Gebäude. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet. Ein Kühlschrank oder Kaffeemaschine wäre noch nett. Die Zimmer sind sehr ringhörig. Mal fühlt sich 40 Jahre zurückversetzt in einem historischen Hotelzimmer.

Wird der Beurteilung nicht gerecht
Pros:

Zur Anreise bekam ich wohl das älteste und damit „letzte“ Zimmer…!?
Leider muss ich mich auch fragen, wie hier dir gute Bewertung über Hotels.com herkommt!!!?

Dann bekam ich ein anderes Zimmer, dieses war okay aber auch schon in die Jahre gekommen

The best surprise ever!
Clean, quaint, incredibly German in the best ways possible.
Get a room with the church square view if you can.
Close to shopping and restaurants and coffee shops.

En plein coeur de Fribourg
Pros:

Hotel situé en plein centre en face de la cathédrale.
Quartier très vivant, voire trop, notre chambre donnait sur une rue ou de jeunes gens enivrés faisaient beaucoup de bruit toute la nuit, bon, c'était un vendredi d'été. Beaucoup de restaurants de tout type à quelque mètres. Personnel très sympa et polyglotte.
