Catalonia Las Cortes Hotel

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Las Cortes but there was room for improvement. The cleaning took place very late everyday, usually when we wanted to come back after lunch from a morning’s activities. The floor of the room wasn’t very clean, our feet were pretty dirty. The complimentary afternoon tea from 4-7pm was a waste of time. Just a few bland sandwiches, fruit and a bit of cake and it wasn’t replaced promptly if at all so disappeared quickly. It would have been better just to have free coffee/ tea all day instead.
The location was nice and central and our room was very quiet. Staff were fine. Our room key stopped working after a few days and we noticed that the cleaners had left the room unlocked so mentioned it to the front desk. We would have at least expected an apology but nothing was forthcoming.

Our stay at the hotel was great. The moment we entered it was such a pleasant atmosphere. The reception staff was really nice and welcoming. The cleaning crew was amazing. Location , our hotel and hotel staff all were 10/10

excellent hotel. the stafff at the front desk was super helpful. the shower and tub were some of the best we've ever had. two things to note : 1. there is a lot of street noise from people partying at the bars downstairs. i sleep with earplugs so it didnt bother me but if youre a light sleeper that might effect you. and 2. i was woken up at 7pm by a staff member to give me two small chocolates. BANGING ON THE DOOR. i know this is just the staff doing their job but i truly hope this hotel can change this policy. people traveling to europe are USUALLY sleeping at all hours due to jet lag and i was DEAD asleep when this person woke me up. for two small pieces of chocolate ??? i most likely wont come back to this hotel knowing this is the policy. its unfortunate because other than that it was a great place to stay. i just cant be woken up for no reason when im trying to rest.

Food and snacks amazing. Bed confortable. Staff adorable especially Monica. They know my Mom birthday and gave us a courtesy mini cake.! We adore this place

Excellent amenities, location, and service. My wife and I stayed 3 nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Alejandra, Emery, and Paula were great hostess during breakfast.

Great location, lovely building.
Friendly staff with good bar. comfy room, spacious bathroom. Would prefer walk in shower but this was over bath. Had a great terrace room.
Good amenities. Coffee machine and large bottle of water each day for members.
Would choose again.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring most of Madrid. There are many great restaurants very close by. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are large, comfortable and quiet considering how busy it can be in that area. The only cons I can think of is that the room’s air conditioning didn’t seem to get cool enough at night so we were a bit warm. And while most of the staff were incredibly helpful and nice, one front desk employee, I believe his name was Javier, was a bit inpatient and rude when we asked him to repeat something. He got louder. Our hearing wasn’t the problem.
That aside, the hotel is a fantastic place to stay while in Madrid.

The building is historic, updated while maintaining the charm of its age.

Room was clean and very comfortable if a little small. Bed was fantastic and the bathroom was beautiful. Having two showers was convenient. Staff was very helpful and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this hotel. We shared a room for three, which had plenty of room and was very quiet. GREAT location. Most of what we wanted to see and do, were within 10 to 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

It is a lovely hotel. The managers and reception, waiters, bartender, cleaning people were all highly able and helpful. Location was excellent for the museums and restaurants and some shopping. Exceptionally pretty rooms and decor without being fussy. Nice to have a bar and tables downstairs for talking to other guests.
