Cheap & Cheerful
Pros:

Great location for the city centre and for any upcoming concerts. Clean comfy beds and tea / coffee facilities in room.

Cons:

Room looks very dated and worn - considering they add lovely touches of tea/coffee facilities and toiletries in bathroom, room could do with upgrade of new carpet and curtains. Also take ear plugs as very noisy from neighbouring building work and pub revellers.

Very good value however-
Pros:

Good for the price. In the center of cardiff, shops are located around the premises.

There are a lot of stairs. Construction work was being done outside.

Better socket positions by the bed. And some overall maintenance in the room and hallways eg. New carpets, coat of paint and some plastering work

Nice because of the location, but not a pleasant stay.
Pros:

I liked how accessible the location was, as it is near all the places i intended to visit during my stay.

Cons:

It did not specify how far up the stairs were, which have caused me and my friend a lot of pain even days after. There were no other means to travel to our floor, and the floor we were given was all the way at the top. This was not specified, which is bad for people who could potentially have disabilities and not know prior the building layout before staying. The interior looked very dirty, and the carpets were terribly musty. Not to mention, as we were in an attic room, there was an awful draft and I was freezing the entire night and got a cold.

Ok, but take a sleeping pill
Pros:

Location was perfect, the bed comfortable, the bathroom was fine.

Cons:

Unfortunately the location, albeit very central for bars & restaurants, was very noisy till late on from music and loud people, plus the morning deliveries and clearing up procedures were quite early and ongoing with quite a lot of disturbance.
As for the accommodation, the TV was temperamental and the kettle failed to boil and looked nearly burnt out.

The location is excellent for a night on the town. Although it is a bit of a shabby room (paint peeling etc) it served its purpose of a cheap stay for 3.
