The welcome, with a complimentary drink, was sufficiently informative without being too long. The WhatsApp concierge number is also very convenient and helpful.
The room, which had a view of the pool, was lovely and large. The only improvement for me would have been a bath – that being said, the shower was powerful and big. The toiletries and added extras were also a nice touch.
The spa, gym etc. were modern and clean. We would have liked the indoor spa pool to have been a touch warmer and for there to have been the ability to have a drink in there. The treatments were fantastic.
The outdoor pool was lovely. There was really bad weather on our first full day and the beds etc were therefore very wet at the beginning of the next day before they dried out in the sun. Maybe covering them, or taking the mattresses inside would have been sensible. We wish the service around the pool had been a little more attentive as we often had to find staff to place orders etc.
The food was good. Breakfast was a large buffet with additional a la carte options. As it was the ‘off season’ there were limited evening options, which was disappointing. We did have the tapas which was not great, but the staff promptly dealt with that. The Italian menu was lovely, but repetitive over a number of nights, so I would suggest they need two restaurants and tapas options.
We recently stayed at METT Estepona Marbella and absolutely loved our experience. We had two rooms, both of which were perfectly sized, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean.
The pool area was stunning, with gorgeous views facing the beach—truly the perfect spot to unwind. The bar area was equally impressive, offering a stylish atmosphere and great drinks. The service was excellent; every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and professional.
Out of all the hotels we visited in the region, METT Estepona Marbella was by far the best. We can’t recommend it enough and would happily return on our next trip.
No notes. Excellent service, views, pool and amenities, access to private beach, rooms, breakfast, dining options...
During our trip to Spain, we stayed at the METT Estepona three times. That’s how wonderful this property is. The location is stunning, the pool is amazing, and, the people are the ones who make this experience so special. Julia was the absolute star who took care of our every need including dinner reservations in Estepona at such a memorable restaurant that it may have been the best fish I have ever eaten. Miriam in the restaurant made you feel like family. She’s a treasure and Sergia at the desk and Isco in the dinner room all went above and beyond. Super thankful for their wonderful service. We will be back..soon!
What an amazing hotel. From the minute we arrived in we were greeted by friendly helpful staff. Handed a welcome drink of our choice. The reception area is beautifully designed & leads into the pool bar area and restaurants which is also so beautiful. Absolutely stunning area to relax. We especially loved the pool area. Very attentive staff at all times. We were celebrating a special occasion & on arrival to our pool view room we were greeted with Champagne and treats. Attention to detail was just 5 star from start to finish. We cant wait to return.
A special occasion was spoilt by poor service, rude staff, incorrect building. We were offered one drink, never asked how the food was, would we like anything else. Very disappointing. Would we recommend, absolutely not!! When I asked the manager why we weren't offered drinks, he informed me we'd had one! They clearly don't like ladies only either.
Very nice hotel we will be back 😊
Stunning pool
Atmosphere was top, food excellent, but service left much room gor improvement.
Cutlery not served with food, table and glasses dirty,
Wir hatten ein Delux-Doppelzimmer mit Poolzugang und direktem Blick auf das Meer und den wunderschönen Palmenstrand - ein Traum! Super nettes Guest-Relationteam!
Amazing hotel, service and staff. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The food in all the hotel’s restaurants are extra good and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing time off. The rooms are amazing and offer the guests everything you might need.
IMHO 3 star hotel at 5 start prices. On arrival you have to pay up front 200 euros per night not the 5 star norm here but be careful they charged us twice after we got home - some poor excuse about authorisation levels. Got my money back in the end thanks to the holiday rep . Poor service from the staff, especially the reception staff. Certain areas could have been maintained and cleaned better - housekeeping need better training. Breakfast, fried food was cold apart from the beans. The orange juice was not fresh everyday. The only staff that were helpful were the restaurant staff who did make an effort. Never returning to this hotel, we have visited far better hotels.
Plast växter i restaurang o bar områden. Högtalare med American casino musik i matsalen. Högtalare uppsatta i alla Palmer runt poolen! Oerhört omysigt hotel inte värt pengarna.
Amazing experience at Mett Hotel & Beach Resort Marbella-Estepona ! All staff was very kind and very profesionals, especially Natalia and Leola ! We will come back with pleasure in these place !
Stunning location and everything you could need is provided in your room! The showers are huge and waterfall shower heads feel very luxury.
We really enjoyed our stay! Great breakfast buffet and also the Italian restaurant was amazing.
The rooms could be cleaner though with limestone everywhere in the bathroom and the floor also wasn’t wiped in some time which made your white socks gray-orange after just a few steps.
The METT Hotel’s marketing tells you that it is a luxury five star hotel. Whilst you should not expect marketing to allow truth to get in the way, I can tell you that it is nowhere near luxury nor five star.
The rooms are comfortable but rather basic although the staff worked hard to keep the whole hotel clean.
The pool area is very good when the guests are able to enjoy it (more on this later). The sunbeds are very comfortable, however, as soon as you arrive, you are told that there is a “no reserving sunbeds” policy but this policy is never enforced with many sunbeds reserved every day.
The pool area is only a few meters from the beach which is great. The beach sunbeds are also very comfortable and there is a beach bar there.
The main bar, located outside, is OK but service is variable.
The food in the Italian and Greek restaurants is good however, the food and drinks in both the bar and the restaurants are brutally expensive. For example, 0.3L beer at the pool bar is €7 but at the nearby local bars it is €2.70. Likewise, a bottle of wine in the restaurant is €50 upwards whereas in Estepona etc. it is €25-€30. Expect to pay over €150 for a meal for two. We actually found it cheaper, and more enjoyable, to jump in a taxi to Estepona to dine in the evenings. The return taxi fair is €30.
I can recommend the Mezze in the Greek restaurant.
Now for the really bad stuff:
What the hotel fails to mention is the fact that on a Thursday they rent out the sunbeds to external guests as part of their Azure Beach Club (which they omit to tell their paying guests about). They also bring in a DJ that plays very loud dance/rave music that turns the whole pool area into an Ibiza style beach party from noon until almost midnight.
I videoed the pool area and plan to put it on YouTube and/or Facebook for all to see.
This is what Azure Beach has to say on its website:
CHIC THURSDAYS
Azure Beach invites, every Thursday, from 12-3PM all ladies to enjoy a fabulous ladies-only package that includes: a sunbed with prime beach views, curated selection of open bar drinks, delicious food bites to share.
Note: the “sunbed with prime beach views” were the sunbeds that the hotel guests had already paid to use as guests of the hotel. Also, it wasn’t ladies only and it went on until 23:45 when we stayed.
We booked "a luxury five star hotel" because we wanted a high-quality, relaxing and peaceful break. What we got was a good hotel that was vastly overpriced and a Club 18-30s style Ibiza experience.
Unless you are specifically seeking a Club 18-30 Ibiza holiday and don’t want to go to Ibiza, I suggest you ignore the marketing METT puts out and give the METT Hotel in Estepona a very wide berth.
Amazing service experience from Natalia and Julia. They always tried to help us out and accommodate our needs. We also loved that we got an incredible upgrade from our room.
Food at the pool was incredible!
We stayed at this hotel, and although it’s rated 5 stars, it certainly didn’t feel like it. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days, which was frustrating. But the bigger issue was with the deposit: we paid €1400 upfront “just in case” we used anything, but we ended up paying every single bill ourselves—from restaurants to the pool—and never received a refund. At checkout, they even tried to charge us for two restaurant bills that didn’t exist, despite having paid everything and leaving tips. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
