This is our third stay at this hotel. The location for us is fabulous. Right in the heart of Westport.
The staff are lovely.
Its lovely and clean.
Ive never had complaints before, but this time our room was situated above Maddens, opposite the Hostel. It was very noisy. People stood outside the hostel smoking or vaping till late into the night.
One morning we had the lorry dropping off and collecting beer barrels at 7.30am. He the proceeded to re arrange all the barrels on the back of his truck. The racket would wake the dead !
Then 10/15 mins later the bin wagon stopped under the window collecting empty bottles 🥴
I will ask to avoid that part of the hotel if I stayed again.
We loved the unusual shape of the bedroom, which arises from the linking up of adjoining buildings. The beds are large and comfortable and the heating is easily controlled. Despite being in the centre of the town we didn't experience any traffic noise. There's a public carpark right next to the hotel. Overnight parking is free until 9.30am and only €3 for 24 hours. The breakfast is served to your table and is of excellent quality and variety. The staff in reception, bar and restaurant are extremely helpful, courteous and friendly.
