Nothing.
Firstly people need to understand the area is very poor. People with alcohol addiction drinking at the hotel entrance and drug use openly happening on the the street. I'm not talking about weed here. Overall felt very unsafe and I'm not a shrinking violet or a "Karen"! Room was poor repair and the lock on the door broken. We didn't stay!
The staff were polite.
The hotel is run down.
The spring bed was very uncomfortable, I stayed for only one of the two nights booked.
The entrance and stairwell were dirty and had a mouldy smell.
The hotel looked tired and was well past it's paydays.
The showers cubicle was small..that said the hot water works albeit at a very slow flow rate.
I feel robbed.
Everything, position and staff particularly Georgia but All the staff were polite and helpful
Nothing
I didn't stay enough to have breakfast. I left after minutes of my arrival
The place was not clean. No air conditioning.
The room was a good size but there was a hole in the wall which was covered up by a sheet of paper that stated the housekeeping rules and WI-FI, the radiator had partially fallen off the wall, the toilet was not mounted to the bathroom wall only the floor therefore it moved as you sat down, there were holes on the bathroom wall, the venetian blinds would not properly turn and stay there, and the room smelt of sweat.
The outside of the building is lovely
Ok, so I booked a room with no windows, I guess ventilation was an issue, it smelt of cigarettes
Einfaches Hotel, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
The receptionist is very friendly and helpful
Everything was good i really did enjoyed my stay
My room was very warm due to the hot weather, so I went to reception to ask if there was a fan available or any way to keep the room cooler. One of the nicest members of staff, Mr Ali, immediately got up without hesitation and told me to return to my room and relax while he brought one for me.
Within a minute, there was a knock at my door, and it was Mr Ali with a fan. This is not the first time he has provided exceptional customer service. On multiple occasions, he has gone above and beyond whenever I have needed assistance.
I simply wanted to acknowledge his outstanding service and express my appreciation. A big thank you to Mr Ali for always being so helpful, professional, and attentive.
The Grainger Hotel is comfortable and met my needs, the staff are exceptionally friendly and will do a wake up call when asked. Not far from Newcastle City Centre via local bus or about a 15 Min walk to St James Park. I will use them again in the future.

It was a decent price, and not too far from Newcastle centre.
Only basic facilities.
Leaving
Rooms were very dirty. Unbelievably small. My colleague in the next room had items mysteriously disappear from his locked room when we were out for the evening. Only after threatening to call the police the next day were the items miraculously found after staff first claiming they had no idea
Location and Staff
Leaving
It was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Disgusting and filthy! Beds springy and old / worn and has vomit / seamen stains - Noisy and drafts in rooms - also had clothing stolen from room. When I asked about it in the morning they had no idea. Then after threats of legal action the clothing magically appeared! AVOID
