Much improved of late…
Pros:

I can once again say that the Grainger Hotel offers what is probably the best value for money in Newcastle, now being comfortable, functional, clean and having good customer service.

Cons:

External noise will always be an issue.

Dissapointing. Especially for what they charge. Don’t stay here.
Pros:

Shower was okay.

Cons:

Far from city centre / where you want to be.
Floor hadn’t seen a hoover for years.
Gave us 1 key card for a quad room, not ideal, then gave us a key to access all the doors on that floor - slightly concerning as it opened all rooms.
Didn’t smell very nice everywhere you went.
Very hot - it was a hot weekend in fairness but the windows weren’t even open when I got in the room.
Staff were pretty clueless.
Rooms had half the wall paper ripped off.
Don’t look down beside the beds, you may throw up.
Tried to take £250 deposit for a couple of rooms!!

Cheap but for a reason
Cons:

Very uncomfortable beds springs pinging with each movement. Toilet not secured to the floor so moved when using 🤦‍♀️Expected a double bed but got 2 singles which wasn’t that much of a problem, very noisy outside which went on until at least 3am and needed window open as very hot. Usually satisfied to just have a clean bed to get my head down but poor uncomfortable short sleep.

Awful and I will never stop there again I would rather sleep in my car.
Cons:

The place had an awful smell and the room was worse. The cleaners did as much as they could but were fighting a loosing battle as the place is in such poor condition.

Dirty, unclean and filthy.
Pros:

Checking out.

Cons:

The hotel was very unclean, the blinds in room 105 were broken and unable to be lifted to let any air in the room from the window. The mattress was very old and very thin, the drawers looked like they'd been found fly tipped. The window safety latch was broken, there was a hole in the bathroom wall. The shower basin was stained and dirty looking. The couch in the lobby looked like it had seen more action than some couches I've seen abandoned in alley ways.

I would not stay here again and I do think the price is high for what it is
Cons:

Room smelt mixture of musty, mould and sick, bed super uncomfy, blind broke very dusty by blinds, no healthy and safety or fire safety information in room, shower had mould in, on arrival (was early) asked to sit down for 5 minutes waited 30 minutes,
