Sadly, I would not recommend this ‘hotel’. The area itself is very ropey and a 30 minute uphill walk from the centre. The room was ok for the purpose of a bed to sleep, but certainly not thrills and not the cleanest - wallpaper peeling off the walls, a wonky mirror, dust in many places, etc. As a solo female traveller, I was very alarmed when someone attempted to gain access to my room at just before midnight. Staff have been in no hurry to investigate this, even after a phone call and a message too. When I returned my keycard at checkout, I was asked for my card number and expiry date, which seemed a little alarming. A refund was then not given till I chased a few days later. For just a few pounds more, there are much better options elsewhere.

Very old and in bad condition, not well maintained.
Very disappointing stay. The bed spring was sticking out and hurting my back. The ceiling was leaking water, the toilet door wouldn’t close properly, and the toilet flush wasn’t working correctly. The carpet was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The room was also much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. Overall, the room was poorly maintained and did not meet expectations.

No hot water coming out of the tap . Room very small. Blinds wouldn’t open
The bed was comfortable.
Coffee machine and vending machine in the lounge were out of order.
TV in the room had no control so couldn't use it, sink in the toilet was hanging off the wall and was leaking onto the floor, loose tiles on the bathroom floor, bottom hinge on the shower door was broken but could still be used, both lights above the bed didn't work, rubbish left in the window, carpet had seen better days, just glad the bed was comfortable.
