If you are coming to Figueres, it is quite likely that you are here to see the Dali Theater & Museum and, if so, you probably want to stay at this hotel.
The Duran Hotel is about a 5-7-minute walk from the wonderful Dali Museum Dali apparently dined at the restaurant frequently and became friends with the hotel owner. They have much of his correspondence and sketches on the walls of the hotel.
If you are here, you also want to checkout the nearby Museu del Joguet, a smaller but very fun museum of toys.
The hotel itself is nice. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom modern. Check-in was easy and, in addition to the hotel’s own restaurant, we found other quality offerings within a short distance as well. Breakfast was not included in our fare, but they do have breakfast available and there are numberous bakerres around town.
Our one gripe concerned the hotel garage. You need to book it in advance (which we did) It’s actually down the block, and the street goes only one way. You have to go to the front of the hotel, check in, get a code, and then drive several one-way streets to return to the garage’s location. The garage is fine, but if you are Americans like us you will find space a little tight. We were able to park a mid-size SUV with some maneuvering. Once you park your car, you don't need to worry about one-way streets and the walk back to the hotel is only a few minutes.
This is an excellent place to stay with genuine Dali connections.

Chambres très confortables, propreté impeccable et petit déjeuner super. Localisation idéale en plein centre - ville.
Parking disponible mais compter 15€ par nuit et il faut arriver assez tôt pour qu'il reste de la place.

Desde la Recepción, trato excelente, pasando por la estancia en el Hotel, no ruidoso, céntrico, antiguo con encanto, la habitación muy confortable y el parking al lado del Hotel a contratar como un extra pero estupendo.
