Cons:

We were not aware until we turned up that the hotel was being renovated. There was a lot of dust and the main stair case was slightly precarious. We would of just like to of been warned.

Hôtel en travaux mais l' avons découvert à notre arrivée.Nous n'avions pas été prévenus !
Pas d' ascenseur à cause des travaux.
Le lendemain matin, nous apprenons qu'il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner !
A nous de nous débrouiller...
Système de climatisation / chauffage très bruyant même à l' arrêt. Problème signalé mais non résolu la nuit suivante ! Nous avons dû demander à changer de chambre pour la 3e nuit !
Aucun geste commercial proposé.
Mauvaise expérience.

Staff are the best part of this hotel..
Pros:

The staff on reception were extremely polite and friendly, the beds were comfy and the room. Was nice a spacious.

Cons:

There was no toilet in reception, there was what looked like unfinished construction work going on leaving a white dust on our belongings when we had been in reception and the biggest thing was that there was no hot water to have a shower or to bath our child.

Prévenus par message via Booking à 18h46 le jour de notre arrivée que suite à des travaux nous étions relogés dans un autre hôtel à plus de 30 minutes de métro. Hôtel mal situé, déco datée et défraîchie, petit-déjeuner très moyen et pas d’eau chaude… Même pas un appel de l’hôtel Vanneau pour s’expliquer, s’excuser ou savoir si la “solution” proposée nous convenait ! Une honte !

Good but with some real inconveniences. I recommend but with caution.
Pros:

The hotel was in an excellent location on a quiet street close to several metro stops and good restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a good size for an older hotel and the beds were comfortable. We had a nice view from our room.

Cons:

They did not disclose that the hotel was in the midst of a renovation, which seems like poor protocol. The entry and stairs were quite dusty and noisy if we were in our room during the day. The elevator broke after our 2nd day so we had to walk up 4 flights to our room the rest of our stay. They changed all the room locks and didn’t tell us. We discovered this after climbing the 4 flights to our room. We had to return to the desk to get new keys.

Fabulous location!
Pros:

Location was fantastic. Close to transit and great restaurants . Breakfast yummy and well presented. Only thing that keeps me from top rating is there was construction going on. While not huge deal, it made things a bit unpredictable.
