Customer service
Pros:

This is a review about the customer service and not the venue, as I never attended. The venue looks beautiful in pictures and is in a great location.

I was unable to attend the wedding due to ill health. Refunds are not available, even with written proof from a doctor. Just something to be aware of if you are attending a wedding here.

Für uns ein Zufallsfund und ein so wunderbarer Ort! Jederzeit wieder! Gut über die Autobahn oder durch die Berge zu erreichen, einsam in den Hügeln mit einer fantastischen Aussicht!

Pros:

My wife and I stayed at Laticastelli for six nights, had a great stay! The staff was welcoming and accommodating of our late check-in. Very helpful with local knowledge and restaurant recommendations.

We loved the property and the beautiful pool!! Very relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Certainly would return on future trips to the region.

Local bonito, mas não muito confortável
Pros:

O local e bonito, mas o quarto que ficamos era muito antigo, algumas teias de aranha, móveis muito antigos e pouco confortável.
O atendimento e bom, mas o café da manhã e fraco(esperava algo mais preparado lá, mas a maioria dos itens são iguais aos hotéis normais de grande redes.

Execeptional Experience
Pros:

We chose Laticastelli because its location is a perfect "home base" for driving excursions in Tuscany. Monterregioni, Siena and San Gemignano and Arezzo are all an easy drive. The hotel, though, exceeded our expectations...incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, really charming setting, wonderful pool and a terrific and very reasonably priced restaurant and a great breakfast buffet. We loved it and plan to return.

A great stay. Good choice of rooms, lovely pool and view from the restaurant. The restaurant choices could have been better and the property needs some care such as a new bar by the pool and some new pool furniture. Overall a great stay in a quiet location, very convenient for travelling to all the major sights.

Huge character in a stunning setting !
Pros:

Delightful country hotel - huge character and very friendly staff. Restaurant excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Particularly enjoyed chilling at the pool with a cold beer whilst taking in the incredible views across the valley. Will definitely return !

Outstanding hospitality! Cannot wait to visit again!

My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely fell in love with this beautiful borgo!

The setting is so peaceful and feels so authentically Italian. The team there were so friendly and were very forgiving of us speaking (extremely) limited Italian. We tried our best to muddle our way though basic phrases and they were always so happy to help us. Next time I stay I am determined to have learned more so their efforts aren’t wasted!

We went for the half-board option which included breakfast and dinner, and we ate at the restaurant for lunch a couple of times as well. The food was always outstanding and tasted so fresh! I tried my best to work through the entire menu, having something different every night, but caved a couple of times and ordered the same dish because they were so tasty! The salted cod was dreamy!

The pool area is stunning! Lots of sun beds available and the pool is just the right temperature to cool off from the Mediterranean sun. The view from the pool area is breathtaking and there is a nice touch of having a self-service drinks fridge by the pool so that you can get refreshment without somebody always having to be there (always be honest and sign the paper!)

Our room was lovely and comfortable, and was checked daily by the housekeeping team. When we first checked in (we were a bit early) our room had just been cleaned and when we walked in it smelled amazing and had clearly just been fully mopped. It immediately put me at ease as cleanliness of the room is so important to me.

On our last day we did an Italian cooking class which I would highly recommend! We learned how to make ravioli and tagliatelle from scratch and then got to eat the dishes we cooked which were lovely! Chef was very friendly and informative!

I would say a hire car is essential if you want to explore the area as it is very rural. Also, as it is in the countryside, there are mosquitoes so I would suggest bringing some repellent and hydrocortisone just in case! Some reviews have mentioned noise from the nearby road and, although there is a main road nearby and you can hear some of the traffic noise, I wouldn’t let that put you off as it was very minor and didn’t impact the enjoyment of our stay at all.

Overall, we totally fell in love with this venue and I have already enquired about visiting again next year with a larger group and renting one of the villas. I cannot wait to stay again and enjoy more of the fantastic Italian hospitality (and food!)

An affordable piece of paradise on a Tuscan hilltop!

The Laticastelli is a gem!!! It is one of the best hotel values we’ve ever experienced. Situated on a Tuscan hilltop, it offers a step back in time, but with modern amenities, and sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside. Our room was large and well-appointed with nice linens and antique furniture. The bathroom was updated and modern. The restaurant was such a wonderful surprise in ambiance and the variety and quality of the dishes offered. Breakfast was bountiful. The infinity pool with 270 degree views of Tuscan countryside is magical! The staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. If are traveling by car and Tuscany is on your itinerary The Laticastelli is a great base camp for visiting various Tuscan highlights (Sienna, multiple hilltop towns, vineyards…) or a great place for a couple of days of R&R in the middle of a more ambitious tour of Italy. (And there is an equally surprising Michelin-starred restaurant, La Bottega del 30, in a tiny village 20+ minutes away.) We are already planning our next visit to Laticastelli with friends.

Overpriced
Pros:

For some reason we paid $600 Australian dollars a night for a double room here! Having booked a long time ahead of our visit it would seem we were penalised…. Very disappointed to see the same room at half that price now.
It is a pretty place but the room lacked basic things like tissues and hand cream… something I would expect for this price.

Amazing experience!
Pros:

One of the best places i have stayed! The room is beautiful and the bad was so comfortable. The infinity pool was amazing. The breakfast was tasty and the staff so friendly
It is a good choice for weddings too if you are going to marry in the summer!

Overall amazing experience!
