Hotel Moliceiro

Location, breakfasts, and the staff was really friendly.

Convenient to airport but otherwise unpleasant. First room was ridiculously small and incredibly basic. Not consistent with photos. Asked for upgrade which they were very nice about but only slightly better.
We had a very early flight so stayed about 12 hours only but would have changed hotels if we had to spend more time there.
Best part are the stairs from the photos. They are beautiful but the rest of the hotel needs a renovation.

Hotel is conveniently located in the city within walking distance to restaurants and the forum mall. Beautiful views of the canal and the city. Rooms were someone what dated but very clean. The staff is professional and extremely friendly/helpful.

Great stay. Was upgraded to a superior room that had a balcony. Room was well appointed, reception staff very helpful and the breakfast was better than average. Great location right next tow canal but still quiet at night. Loves the stay and would highly recommend it

I cannot express my gratitude to this hotel and their staff. Especially the manager. We arrived the day of the blackout and even they had no electricity they managed to have a plan to let us check in. They went above and beyond. Breakfast amazing!!! You will not go wrong staying here. Very walkable.

Eh was whatever no ac was really hot

Excellent location. Entire staff splendid. Front desk kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet staff welcoming and dedicated to their job. Hotel and room comfortable and clean. Plenty of restaurants to eat are close by the hotel. Great value. Would stay again.

This is a very charming hotel in the best part of Aveiro to explore everything the town has to offer. It is right by the canal where you pick up the moliciero (gondola) tours and right beside good restaurants and gelaterias. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want and the room was very gracious with a French balcony overlooking the canal.

There are many things to like about this hotel. It is at the corner of the city district with access to a number of restaurants and the starting point of the canal boats. The hotel is very clean, fully staffed, and up to date. When we arrived, they asked us when we expected to eat breakfast. A question that made us scratch our head and if they had resources to provide breakfast during the full time noted. I think only six rooms were booked the first night we were there.

Our room, however, was a tight space and an HVAC system that wouldn't work. The hallways were hot and our room became even hotter during the night. The beds weren't as comfortable as I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The bathroom was roomy and clean with all the necessary amenities.

Breakfast was the same each morning with good variety. They offered suco de maracuja which was very tasty. The scrambled eggs and bacon were cold, even from being in a chafing dish.

The location is in a safe, clean part of town. If you are taking an Uber, they will likely let you off about 80-100 meters from the hotel since the street access is one-way from the backside.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful town. We stayed in three other "nice" hotels on our Portugal trip, and this one was so much better than the rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and made you feel like a "Guest" not just a number. Clean and beautifully decorated with everything prepared to a very high level. Lovely bar with piano player every night. We can't wait to stay there again!

Very centrally located, and has the full of whatever "view" Aveiro can offer. The best part of hotel might be the design of its restaurant and breakfast quality. Its exterior looks very new and nice, though the furniture inside is older. Water drains both in the bath tub and faucet drained slower than usual, but not as bad to request help.

Nice place overall!!

Loved our large room and well-appointed fixtures. A huge breakfast buffet with something for everyone. The location is hard to beat if you travel by foot or cab ... I suspect car parking might be a challenge . The only complaint we have is the lack of light in the rooms ... no task light by the desk or reading chair, and very low wattage bulbs throughout.

Is well located in Aveiro and staff is very nice and friendly. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Will come back with no doubt.
