A charming hotel with character, a warm host, great local tips, and a superb breakfast

We fell in love with the character of Hôtel Le Manoir and were delighted by the staff’s attentive service, from excellent restaurant recommendations (even when we arrived late on a Sunday!) Breakfast was superb, and the host’s warm, welcoming nature made our stay unforgettable. A true pearl and ideal base for exploring Alsace.

Nuestra experiencia en el Manoir fue muy buena. Las indicaciones para hacer el check-in fueron claras. La habitación era cómoda, limpia y estaba decorada con gusto. El desayuno buffet tenía variedad y todo estaba fresco. Muy recomendable para conocer la región, sin duda volveremos :)

A stay that started wonderfully but ended with disappointing room changes and poor communication.
Pros:

We stayed for two nights and even booked an extra night. The rooms in the main part of the house were lovely—beautifully designed and very comfortable. It truly felt like a great experience and matched our expectations. The breakfast was tasty.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the last night was disappointing. We were moved to the basement rooms, optimistically described as “garden view.” While we knew one of the rooms would be in the basement, the other was supposed to remain in the main house. Instead, both rooms were relocated to the basement without clear communication. One of the basement rooms was unfinished and still under renovation, making it uncomfortable. The other had a strong pet odor, which was unpleasant.

When we asked to switch back to the main house rooms, we were told it wasn’t possible because it “wouldn’t be fair to other guests.” This felt dismissive and hypocritical, as we were later moved without being asked and against what we originally booked. The explanation that the basement room had a “big TV” after we mentioned booking a romantic-style room for visiting parents from America came across as rude and stereotypical. A TV does not replace the charm and comfort we expected.
