Pros:

nice location with perfect view. Swimming pool and spa are great bonus for our vacation. Food was amazing for dinner, but breakfast is the same every day(also expected some local pasteis, but it was more british breakfast)

A lovely comfortable hotel with great views but you really need a car to make the most of it, or be very fit!
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with a good shower. The air conditioning was good. The restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus into Funchal was very useful.

Cons:

The hotel is on a very steep slope, the road used by the famous toboggans from Monte. The walk into and especially back from Funchal is challenging. We didn’t have a car, and used the hotel shuttle bus a couple of times plus the public bus which is about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel but still involves a steep incline. However taxis can be ordered from reception and cost about 13 Euros into central Funchal.

Everything was wonderful
The staff were very attentive and friendly. The service was top-notch

It was an excellent hotel with a beautiful view and a great breakfast. We’d love to come back

I have a couple of suggestions I’d like to bring to your attention
1. It wouldn’t hurt to add soft pads to the legs of the terrace chairs. Since we were staying right below the terrace (Room 105), and soundproofing isn’t the hotel’s strong suit, we could hear every movement of the chairs made by other guests
2. Please take a closer look at the ingredients in the shampoos used at the hotel. I developed allergic dermatitis on my skin because of these products. I’m sure this varies from person to person, but this happens to me very rarely and only with the cheapest, harshest shampoos

Séjour parfait !!
Pros:

L'hôtel est très beau. Le personnel est très gentil et bienveillant. La chambre était très spacieuse avec une vue superbe. La literie était vraiment très confortable. Mention spéciale pour le petit-déjeuner qui est très varié et délicieux !
Le parking est également très appréciable.
Un grand merci au personnel pour le petit plus : une bouteille offerte !

Tranquilo, amables, habitaciones amplias. Ubicación bien si escapas de la ciudad. Necesario coche pero hay parking justo enfrente totalmente gratuito.

Cons:

No había zumo natural en el desayuno ni plátanos que es la fruta típica de la isla.

Tutto perfetto!
Pros:

Struttura elegante, con disponibilità di accesso alla Spa e alla piscina esterna. Personale cordiale, colazione varia e abbondante (sia dolce che salata). L'hotel non si trova in centro, occorre avere l'auto. La vista della città dall'albergo è molto bella!

Vacaciones maravillosas en Madeira

Amabilidad del personal, especial mención para Tania, súper profesional y atenta.
Servicio de restauración perfecto, platos deliciosos y muy bien presentados.
Estábamos en régimen de media pensión y es un acierto.
Piscina y spa maravillsos.
Hote muy tranquilo y limpio.

Cons:

Nuestra habitación estaba en la cuarta planta y echamos de menos tener una terraza o balcón en el que poder secar las toallas de la playa.
La habitación nos pareció un poquito pequeña, pero cómoda.

Gutes Hotel mit einigen Abzügen - Augen auf bei der Buchung
Pros:

Gute Lage oberhalb von Funchal. Auto unbedingt mieten. ausgiebiges Frühstück.

Cons:

Zimmer zwar mit Meerblick aber ohne Balkon. Kühlschrank war kaputt und Zimmer relativ verwohnt.

Très bel hôtel pour un séjour parfait !

Pros:

Die Aussicht auf die Stadt ist sehr schön. Die Außenbereiche sind auch gut gepflegt. Vor allem Pool- und Frühstücksbereich.

Die Lage ist sehr praktisch für Ausflüge (aber nicht Sightseeing oder Ausgehen im Zentrum).

Drei Mal am Tag gab es einen kostenfreien Shuttle Service, um ins Zentrum zu gelangen. Das ist sehr praktisch für Gäste ohne Auto. Eins von beiden ist hier definitiv nötig, da man sonst nicht weg kommt.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Die Innenausstattung des Hotels ist in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr laute Klimaanlage, die nicht wirklich kühlt. Zimmer sehr stickig. Altes Badezimmer nur mit dem Nötigsten drin. Das Frühstück war ok. Aber die Auswahl ist nicht groß und nach wirklich vielfältig. Alles in allem war es okay. Bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel erwartet man aber definitiv mehr.

Zimmerfenster musste geschlossen bleiben, weil sonst Kakerlaken reinkriechen.

Heerlijk genoten in dit prachtige en gastvrije hotel
Pros:

Prachtig hotel met uitzicht en veel faciliteiten zoals shuttlebus service ( gratis) naar Funchal centrum, parkeerplaats,wellness ( spa gratis) en zwembad. Personeel erg vriendelijk.

Cons:

Eigenlijk is er niets te vermelden wat niet beviel alleen waar je rekening mee moet houden als je dat lastig vindt: het ligt net naast de Tobogans dus op steile helling ( auto rijden) het diner in hotel is heerlijk maar porties zijn klein behalve op Madeira night ( woensdagavond) is het zeker een aanrader om te reserveren voor het diner.
De 1e en 2e verdieping van het hotel heeft balkon of zitjes buiten, de 3e en 4e verdieping alleen een raam en op de hoek van dezelfde verdieping een gezamenlijk balkon.
