This is a lovely old hotel in a very nice location, despite the issues raised we would stay again.
Pros:

Great location in a lovely Basque town. Breakfast was adequate. The pool is very nice and it is good to have a secure car park.
The room and bathroom were fine and the aircon was very good.

Cons:

The bedroom we had did not have a shower just a hand held shower attachment which meant water continually fell onto the floor making it a dangerous hazard when stepping out of the bath. We did not expect that there would be no shower. We are not sure if all the bedrooms only have the hand held shower attachment but if so, it would not take much to at leat put a shower rail and curtain up.
