DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL!
This is an honest warning to other travellers. Don't be drawn in by this hotels advertising of its facilities. It is false. It is worse than a two star hostel. Stay somewhere else! I am 70 years of age experienced and well travelled. I never post a report unless appropriate. This is a disgraceful, regimental, communist style run atmosphere as if still behind "the iron curtain" in the 60s. As if the owners have read about western culture, western comfort hospitality and expectation and human rights in the 20th century, but they just don't know how to copy them and apply that properly. The result is another "Concordski" dysfunctional attempt to do the same but it just won't work. This time, having a pathetic stab at hospitality. This place is simply disgraceful. Severely lacking in appropriate homely decor and comfort. Like a massive cold waiting room. We had stayed two nights previously at a hotel called "The Loft" a couple of hundred yards away, we were unable to stay a third night as it was booked up, so we had to move for the third night. The only place that had availability was this place and I am not at all surprised! "The Loft" was luxury and faultless in every respect. This is a third world disgrace in comparison. Dropped our bags off early at reception on arrival 14.00hrs, (given numbered raffle tickets as reclaim receipts) and went into town as we were too early for the room. Came back 18.00hrs offered back the tickets and given two bags back belonging to someone else, with clearly different numbers. Eventually, entered a red hot hotel room at 25c degrees which was impossible to turn down on the thermostat. A look at the visited book reveals countless previous complaints about over heat and no temperature controls a year before. The owners clearly couldn't care less.
