Catalonia Port

The Hotel Catalonia Port was fantastic. Clean, well designed room, great staff and allowed us to quickly access the Gothic Quarter and El Born. Yahaira did a great job keeping our room tidy and the staff greeted us warmly when we left and returned to the hotel.

Had a 3 night stay here recently and really enjoyed everything at the hotel.

Staff were efficient and helpful.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food on offer.

Rooms were very clean and well furnished with an amazing walk in shower.

Situated in the Gothic quarter so easy walking distance to the beach and the popular Ramblas.

Don't expect fabulous views from your bedroom window due to the nature of the hotels location. Just enjoy the feeling of being in a historic area.

We stayed one night at Port Catalonia after driving up from Valencia, arriving around midnight. Even that late, the staff were welcoming and super helpful. The older gentleman at reception (I didn’t catch his name) went above and beyond to help us figure out the parking — it’s secure but located on a side street next to the hotel, and only accessible via a steep slope since the stairs are exit-only. It’s not really the hotel’s fault, but with the ongoing road changes in the area, our maps kept sending us in circles! Thankfully, he guided us clearly, and we got there in the end.

Since we checked in so late, we asked for a slightly later checkout, and Noelia was kind enough to allow it even though the hotel was fully booked — a small gesture that made a big difference. The location is also great, within easy walking distance of most major sights, so we decided to go sightseeing after checkout. Noelia offered to store our luggage securely, tagging each bag and giving us claim receipts, which was really organized and reassuring.

When we came back later in the day, Gerard, a newer staff member, was super polite and professional. He helped us retrieve our bags and even brought them out to the car. Once everything was loaded up, he wished us a safe trip — a simple but thoughtful touch that ended our stay on a great note.

Overall, Port Catalonia is in a fantastic location with genuinely kind and attentive staff. The only reason it’s not a perfect 10/10 is the parking setup, but everything else — the service, comfort, and hospitality — was spot on. We’d definitely stay again!

Barcelona is a vibrant beautiful city, with lots to do. With a huge beach. Everything in one with a 2 half hour flight. Its excellent. Our hotel was excellent with outstanding friendly staff. Great food & taxi service on available 24/7. Best to walk everywhere then you get to visit the restaurants and shops. They also have a fantastic indoor market selling street food, where you can dine and have drinks.
However.... you have to watch out for pick pockets be vigilant at all times. Overall experience 💯 Highly recommended visiting Barcelona, we will be visiting again as there is so much to do and see 👀

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. The staff was friendly and professional and went above and beyond for us (we were seeking restaurant recommendations, needed a cab to the cruise port). We arrived several hours before our rooms were due to be ready and we were able to keep our luggage securely locked while we went walking around Barcelona. The rooms were clean and had everything we could possibly need. The location was perfect for us. I highly recommend this hotel!

We only stayed at this hotel for one night and it was good. The location is excellent for a one night stay if going on or returning from a cruise, however the rooms are quite small so we are glad we did not stay longer. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Taxis don’t drop you or pick you up from the front door though so you will have to walk about a block with suitcases which is important if you have mobility issues.

Amazing location and accesible to many great spots!

This hotel is a gem in gothic quarter. It’s close to everywhere you would want to go in Barcelona. It’s near to the the sea, las ramblas, la boqueria and several metro lines that will zip you up to La Plaça de Cataluña. It also has a rooftop pool with a waterfall, if you choose. There are plenty of umbrellas, loungers and large, comfy loveseats around the pool patio.
My cozy room was on the main floor. There was a window looking out to a pretty courtyard and I could see the buffet in the restaurant too. The shower was big and had a waterfall shower head as well as a handheld sprayer. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They immediately addressed an small things that came up and they were always friendly when I was coming or going. Catalonia Port Hotel is my new home away from home in Barcelona! ¡Muchas gracias!

Unlike nearly every hotel room, we stay in, there were no problems with our room. Everything was functioning, was cleaned daily with courteous staff, and it met all of our needs. The hotel staff was always greeting us with smiles and met our every need and request. We highly recommend staying at this hotel for it is centrally located, providing access to multiple restaurants and beach experiences without requiring a taxi.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and nice. My room felt spacious and cozy at the same time. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was so pleasant and gave us great tip for tapas. Pool area is relaxing especially after a day of shopping.

We had an excellent experience . The hotel was immaculate. The breakfasts were delicious, bounteous, and varied. Especially good was the fresh squeezed orange juice. Reception staff was attentive and helpful.

Just returned from a very enjoyable five night stay at Hotel Catalonia Port with my 14 year old daughter. Great location within easy walking distance to La Rambla or the beach. Superior room booked was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable and blackouts amazing - so restful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend.
