Amazing
Pros:

Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Staff were amazing and so helpful. The location is perfect - really central and directly opposite a famous bakery! Although don’t worry, you don’t need to join the queue to eat there because the hotel serves their pastries at breakfast! I had a single room and it was a very good size, and even had a balcony! Overall, love this place.

Cons:

My room had a weird smell which I think was from some drains.

Excellent location and delicious breakfast
Pros:

We had a really great stay and were very happy with the hotel. The breakfast was just as good as everyone said, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the location was excellent, right in the city center, so it was very convenient to get to all the main attractions. There was also a really good pizza place right across from the hotel. The only minor downside was that the room was a little small, but overall it was a very good stay.

Pros:

Hotel Smeraldo is in a perfect location in the historic center of Rome. 7 min walk to the Pantheon and a short walk to many of the other attractions in the City Center. Directly across the street from the Roscioli Forno. Highly rated by Rick Steves and great takeout menu of pizza, sandwiches, bread and wonderful pastries.
Hotel staff is wonderful and helpful. (There is also a good gelato place across the street)
We loved it there and plan to return.

Excellent séjour en tous points....
Pros:

Le smeraldo est un joli petit hôtel très propre, le personnel est charmant et accueillant. Il se trouve en plein centre touristique de Rome et à 30 mn de tous les sites à visiter.

Great location with great service
Pros:

Location is excellent , can walk everywhere and the street where hotel is situated is charming. Rooftop bar is a welcome addition and cool after sunset. Only ate breakfast there which was good. The only issue we had was our suite faced the street which was very noisy and we had two nights with little sleep. As soon as we raised this as an issue the staff facilitated a change of room.
