Great hotel - a great improvement on the usual 'chain' experience!
Pros:

Very nice small hotel - had a 'family' feel about it - very different to the large chains. The reception staff were great - friendly and efficient. It's in Crocetta - a quiet district a bit away from the centre but a short walk from Porta Nuova and the Legnano tram stop (no 15 - straight to the main centre). There are several really nice restaurants within walking distance. We had a large apartment-type room in the adjacent building - good cooking and storage facilities - not unduly expensive, and very spacious, with a decent newly-kitted out bathroom (spotlessly clean). Our stay was only short, so we probably did not make the best of the kitchen area. We took breakfast in the main hotel - very good value too!

Cons:

Some net curtains in the windows might be worth considering.
Otherwise there was nothing 'not to like'!

Pros:

The beds and bedding were really good. Location is quiet, and in easy walking distance to the center. Staff was very friendly. Parking was good too (15 EUR/day), and located outside the traffic restricted zone. Hotel has a charming old house atmosphere. Room size was generous. Hairdryer was working fine!

Cons:

Breakfast was low quality overall. Juice was a horrible syrup beverage from a dispenser. Bread was really bland. No vegetables at all, and few savoury choices (which is a problem in many italian hotels). Cakes provided were sitting there for days, I am not sure about their freshness.
Spa was expensive (25 EUR/person, not 15 as stated) and it felt like it wasn't cleaned properly and has not been used for a long time - we felt some sort of powder on the surface of the jacuzzi. Some of the bubbling nozzles didn't work. No bathrobes were provided, and we received a plastic bottle of water (advertising said "biscuits and herbal tea").
Overall, the hotel gave a rundown impression, many small things were broken such as the hooks to tie the curtains, curtains missing, walls had small holes, light switches not working etc
Also, tourist tax on booking is still the old tariff. New is 3.50 EUR/day. We got invoiced also for the 12 year old kid, which is in fact excluded with the new tariffs.
Lack of storage in the 3 bed room, no hanger at all.

Pros:

We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen, het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam! De kamer was ruim en mooi en het ontbijt was goed. Uitstekend bed! De locatie is handig: op loopafstand van het station en ook dicht bij de metro en het centrum.

Hôtel situé dans une rue calme à 2 pas de la Gare Porta Nueva. Accueil fabuleux !
Pros:

Accueil chaleureux ! Le personnel est charmant, sympathique et attentionné.
Chambre spacieuse, calme, propre et bien équipée.
Très bon petit déjeuner pour un tarif très raisonnable, pâtisseries réalisées sur place.

Cons:

Notre chambre était située a coté de l'enseigne lumineuse et les rideaux ne permettaient pas d'occultation complète, un peu dérangeant le premier soir, ensuite on s'habitue

The staff were all really friendly and accomodating. My room was very spacious and the breakfast was enough to start the day!
