Location was close to where we wanted to be.
Clean and air conditioned.
It's a big complex and our room was 2 and a half minutes walk from reception. Edge of mattress was very soft. Couldn't get a tv station to watch the picture kept disappearing. There was a loss of water to the site. Not the hotels fault but couldn't shower before going out. No offer of any recompense.
Rooms/facilities/location
Tables in the bar are sticky from the the deterioration of the varnish by the cleaning chemicals-surface is nasty & sticky - could be rectified with rubbing down & not using varnish.
Everything at this hotel was wonderful! The warm welcome at the reception, the extravagant, spotless room with patio, the big pool, the spa, the changing areas, the gym! Truly a bliss. The aircon and pool are great during summer heatwaves and we were allowed to use the pool and wellness facilities during the day of checking out. Ample private parking. Definitely want to go back to this gem!
The whole place
It’s location, reception staff member (Anna) very nice
Room not cleaned properly, lack of facilities for such a big hotel, communal areas could have been tidier (tables not cleared or wiped, Pavilion restaurant felt and looked like a work’s canteen
The room was large and air conditioned
We both contracted Norovirus whilst at the hotel, ruining our visit to Glyndebourne. We were/are quite ill. Hygiene was clearly lacking in the breakfast service, open dishes of cooked food, numerous flies and sloppy presentation.
At dinner we were served an unset room temp lemon curd tart which was not replaced when we complained. It is not clear that staff are working to a high enough hygiene standard or sufficiently informed about food dangers, particularly in warm weather.
Cleaning throughout was minimal with dirty areas and frayed carpets, uncleared dishes in the bar area. The few staff were perhaps doing their.best but.not supported by effective management or any culture of pride or striving for excellence. They seemed unmotivated. There is serious underinvestment in this hotel.
Polite staff,very quiet rooms.
Nothing
Lovely peaceful hotel. Spacious and clean. Spa and golf excellent. Hunnington Grill superb.
The staff were excellent, in particular Cody who kindly sorted my breakfast (bacon sandwich to go) as I had to leave before service. Exceptional service for him to offer, and really appreciated.
A good size room with balcony. Nicely decorated, and good air conditioning. Very content.
Didn’t have enough time to explore in full…but provisionally nothing I didn’t like.
The rooms were beautiful and you had air conditioning. The staff were kind, considerate and very helpful. the food was fabulous.
Although very clean, the bathroom was a little basic compared to the beautiful bedrooms.
Really lovely location and the staff were lovely. The hotel feels a bit like a conference venue but it’s well-maintained and well kept. The restaurant was also excellent, with a very good menu.
Breakfast could be a little better, it felt a little weaker than the otherwise really high quality standards.
