Trehellas House Hotel and Courthouse Restaurant

The staff were exemplary, they were the highlight of our stay.

We dined in the restaurant and both food and service great.

This is pretty basic accommodation with no frills. Everything was done, but to the minimum. ( eg. little butter at breakfast unless more requested, room furniture is adequate but tired). Cleaning staff were friendly and good. Waitresses were competent and pleasant. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Light over basin did not work, curtain was not properly fixed to rail, paintwork to outside windows was flaking badly. Internal paintwork not done to a very high standard. However, everywhere inside was clean and bed was comfortable.

A beautiful quaint area

We arrived at 8.20 pm on a Thursday evening to be told the restaurant was closed, so had to drive to nearest town at Wadebridge to get a takeaway. The rooms were incredibly hot as even in the height of summer the radiators were on.

The receptionists are wonderful!! We were able to store our luggage and leave for the day to explore and they were able to bring our luggage to the room!! The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable!!! The only thing I disliked, was the shower. It was TINY and the temperature was completely messed up! And the pressure was so soft!! Otherwise, this was a wonderful experience!!!

Great stay, easy check in. Restaurant was closed but was a Monday evening. Breakfast was lovely, and service was quick. No complaints here.

Absolutely lovely place to stay very friendly very clean

Friendly staff, but property is very tired and in poor condition. Room was next to a busy road, smelt damp, and very dated. Everything felt that it had been provided as cheaply as possible, from the sachets of shampoo, to the breakfast items.

Owner was not very welcoming.
After check in i asked to leave my keyat reception before going into Wadebridge as attached to the key was a large piece of wood so you dont lose it.
Carrying this in your pocket was impossible so i think its a reasonably request.
Owner was reluctant to do this and said i had to keep it to save asking at reception for it back later.
In retrospect i am glad i did take my key with me as the followed day my work colleague left their key at reception (not with owner) and on returning back at 10.15 pm found front desk empty and no key.
They tried to find a member of staff but no one was available so they had to sleep on couch in reception.

Excellent stay very friendly staff excellent chef and great food

Room was clean but not that big. Same with tv ..only 22". But cheap price including full english made it worthwhile.
